Hey, what's up? Folks call me Shades, and I make rant/commentary/discussion/analysis/essay(?) videos here on YouTube. I like to talk about music a lot, primarily in the realm of rock and metal, since music is very important to me and a huge part of my life. A recurring theme throughout my channel is the subject of gatekeeping and elitism in and out of music, and promoting the idea of liking what you like. I also do a lot of music-based countdowns, including my yearly Best & Worst Songs videos, as well as videos on things that give me a nostalgic tickle. On that note, you may find the odd video that isn't music related, though it is thematically appropriate for this channel in one way or another.
