About Cathy O’Mara

Born & raised in New York City, NY until age 21 then moved to Nassau County, NY with parents and older sister.

Lived up and down the east coast, spent a few years in the Mid West, and 5 years in the Middle East (ME).

My cousin's husband was killed in the WTC on 9/11.

I am not a soldier. I was a civilian working with the Army. I could never be a soldier since I was born with congenial lung disease. I got the disease because my mother smoked while she was pregnant with me and my father smoked too.

Luckily, at the time, civilians we're not subject to medical testing for (PFT) PULMONARY FUNCTION TESTS, so, I passed the medical tests at that time & was able to go over and support the ARMY missions which I am grateful for being allowed to do it.
