BK DON– born Bol Peter Koch – is a South Sudanese born, Kenya based singer/rapper/songwriter who is blessed with synesthesia, a unique condition where when one sense is activated, another kicks in at the same time. When he hears music, he sees colors and shapes. Born in South Sudan,he moved to Kenya as a refugee . While he was clearly influenced by rap music, rnb including artists like Kendrick Lamar,Kanye West,J cole ,he imparted his obsession with 90’s rap,RnB music as well. He started writing songs at 12 and soon realized that his natural facility for languages translated to rapping/singing songs not only in English and his native Dinka, but also in Kiswahili. Bol is however a versatile artist who takes pride in African music,he will release afrobeats soon.
