Tom Smith, disabled Vietnam veteran, has formed a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Outreach Band called Tom Hoa Binh And The Peacemakers (www.tomhoabinhandthepeacemakers.com) His first album is called "The Door To Hoa Binh" which details PTSD common to the returning combat soldier, the trauma, avoidance, coping mechanisms,etc.and the (hopefully) it's eventual recovery. Through a Band Of Brothers (or Sisters) Mr. Tom Hoa Binh has found his doorway to Peace (Hoa Binh). Most videos discuss, through his songs the effects of PTSD, the resolution/awareness/acceptance phase and the deep healing available to the wounded warrior. Only approximately 35 % of PTSD sufferers are from combat trauma. That leaves a lot of people out there who have experienced PTSD from car wrecks, child or spousal abuse, accidents and many other forms of trauma.
