I'm Dave, an independent board and card games designer.

During the desperately difficult and disruptive times caused by Covid-19 and measures to try tackling it, I created some quirky content (Desperate Dave's Distractions) to amuse myself, and maybe others, while self-isolating home alone. This is not to trivialise the terrible impact that Covid-19 and the response to it are having globally. But it is about finding fun to fight fear. Laughter may not be the best medicine against a deadly virus but humour helps reduce stress. I included some games-related content too as playing games brings people together (whether virtually or physically), provides an escape from real world pressures for a while, and helps us learn through play. I believe in games for global good.
