About The MIDI Machine
Amateur musical hack here to impart my dubious knowledge/opinions to bedroom producers of pop, through songwriting sessions, MIDI tips and product reviews.
Shows will recorded kind of live, and published with minimal editing. Follow up corrections/clarifications will be published between shows if they're helpful. Please leave comments, and I will respond. Since the sessions are more or less improvised, the music that comes out of them may not be top notch. Some tunes will be edited beyond the recording and I hope to do videos of the tweaking in between the full shows so you can see how a tune ended up or what I did with it later.
The things I use extensively are... Steinberg Cubase Pro, Dreamtonics Synthesizer-V, Toontrack products (EZ Keys 2, EZ Bass, Superior Drummer 3), Arturia synths, Korg synths, Ample Sound Guitars, Orange Tree Guitars, Native Instruments products (Komplete), AudioBro LA Scoring Strings 3, Audio Modeling SWAM trumpets/saxes/violin/cello.
