I read a variety of literature, including classics from ancients to moderns, contemporary literary fiction, and nonfiction (especially literary biography, the history of race and gender in the US south, and memoirs about illness and grief). I also discuss books about cooking, eating, and food; books about knitting, yarn, and the history of other crafts; and classic children's literature.
