About My Ajji's Kitchen
The older I become, the more I realize that cultural strongholds seem to fizzle out and become diluted as time progresses. With that, goes culinary influences from days gone by. To this day, I still consult with my own mom about dishes that I have not made in some time or that I have forgotten the ingredients or instructions to. I have come to realize that the day will come when I will no longer be able to call on her decades of knowledge and expertise. It is for that reason that I have started this channel in the hope that my children, grandchildren and generations to follow, will have a point of reference which will automatically transport them to decades of family gatherings involving eating, playing music, dancing, limin' and being merry.
