WARNING: THIS IS AN ANTI-SLEEP GAME. YOU MAY HAVE TROUBLE PLAYING THIS IF YOU FIND SLEEPING CHILDREN AND PETS ADORABLE.

=============== THE FATE OF APRIL ================

The Big Sleep fell on April 1 /again/, even though it is supposed to be May 10! This time, you wake up in the middle of the afternoon to see that the whole town, including the pets, is sleeping. Only you find out about the out-of-town carnival, making you regret your "sleep actions." What will it take for you to do the opposite... /wake everyone up/?

If you have not yet played the first two games in this series, it's highly recommended that you do so, so that you'll be more familiar with all the characters.

Man, I can hardly believe the unexpected escalation of the AFD series. It all started out with a "puny" little game in 2016 that I made in just three or four days. And now look where it's ended! ^^ Thank you to everyone who has played the series, your reactions give me true sensations!

Can we get this project front paged? It has improvements of programming strategies from AFD2... and it'd mean a lot to me if at least one of the games got an attention height.

======= IMPORTANT TO READ BEFORE PLAYING! =======

1. This game has no combination locks or anything of the sort; the AFD series lacks them. During the gameplay, there are 4 tabs at the bottom of the screen you can click through: "GAME" for the current game setting, "ITEMS" for your inventory, "Z-PAD" for your Z-Pad once you have obtained it, and "SETTINGS" for settings. You can select an inventory item by clicking it. To put it back, return to ITEMS and click on the same item again. You can toggle music at any time (yes, any time whatsoever!) by pressing the M key on the keyboard ---- not to be confused with Ctrl+M.

Also, DO NOT use Full-screen: it may butcher the sizing and positioning of large sprites (such as the houses).

2. This is not purely point and click. You move yourself around using the arrow keys or WASD. In pretty much every room in the game, it is recommended that you try moving left and right because that may reveal things in the room. You can enter houses and buildings by clicking on them, and leave by clicking "EXIT" on the bottom.

3. This game involves timers, so you'll probably want to be able to pause it. Well, there's a basic way to do that: save the game, and then click the green flag and reload it. Read # 6 to see how to do so.
The saved game will store your elapsed time.

4. During the gameplay, you possess a numerical "score" telling you how well you played the game so far. This number can be negative but it cannot exceed 800 in absolute value.

5. If the game is laggy, or the background/sprites are fuzzy or plain wrong, try pressing Ctrl/Command + M; that will probably work.

6. To save your game, click "SAVE GAME" under SETTINGS, wait, and then copy and paste your save code in a safe place. You can load this code by clicking the green flag, and then "LOAD" on the starting screen. If your computer is laggy, please do not to anything while the game is saving or loading, as that may cause things to be slower and possibly wrong.

7. If you come across any glitches, tell me so I can fix them! However, please don't post any spoilers or save codes in the comments. If you need to ask anything that involves a spoiler, or contains a save code, please do it on my profile. Thanks!
(And, as a spoiler alert, if you hate spoilers, don't read what others said on my profile...)

==================== CREDITS ====================

Credit for all the music goes to the original owners. I do not want to list the music here as it may spoil the game. I got all the music, except the one for the main map, from here: https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks See inside if you want to know what the music is.

Massive thank you to DeathTiger0 and selfdefiant on Newgrounds for making similar games and giving me insight... and thanks to YOU for playing!
