I haven't made a project in quite some time due to university, but I wanted to touch on a topic I haven't mentioned before: self-critique. For me, it's really difficult. A delicate balance exists between loving your work uncriticially and comparing your work to other pieces executed better. I usually lean towards the latter when looking at my own paintings. However, self-critique is still an important process in personal growth that cannot be ignored.

This project guide shows you how I approached one of my older works and the changes I made to a similar piece. Hopefully it adds to your own perspective and encourages you to reflect on your own designs! :)
