Forza Motorsport multiplayer gameplay is quite an experience. Caught somewhere between arcade and sim, the experience is both fun and somewhat frustrating with a wheel.

"Hello viewers, SuperErmz here" had me rollin' 😂
  • @aono335
I have dusted gamepad players with my racing sim wheel so I wouldn’t say it is the superior strat 😂 You might have to tune the car and/or get used to driving in Forza with your wheel.
  • @aidan404
I’ve not seen anyone else having this issue or driving this car like that
  • @NewbombTurk.
Laguna Seca "Short" is actually the original layout before they added "Andretti" (for the most part, there are slight differences). This isn't an actual IRL option as the shortened part is currently an RV parking lot. This is the first time Forza has used this layout.

All your criticism before was fair. Sound does suck compared to what it should be but the multiplayer is overall fun. Can’t expect some issues as people are using controller mostly for this so there is going to be some bumping. Still, it’s a fun distraction between sim racing. They are trying to give you some flavor of race strategy in a short, compact form and I think it mostly works.

ERMZ. Despite all the sarcastic commentary, Multi-Player looks amazing!
  • @Alwaysallenc
With the Simcade nature of Forza, I play with a wheel, but ABS on and TC on sport. Seems to save the tires more too. Not trying to be a pro racer on here, just wanna have some fun!
  • @4dtox
Honestly, I think that the physics in FM is pretty decent for a simcade and it’s worth playing with a wheel. If they will constantly be improving physics engine the game can be on par with other sims out there.
  • @justamanchimp
It’s not busting the rear out and “drifting”, it’s busting the rear out to get rotation to pivots the front in the direction you need to go, it’s an fwd car..
  • @fraenkiboii
lol it looked so funny how the front tires were burning and the tires in the back went "Hello? We're freezing back here!!!"
  • @ABRacing_
Regarding the arrows, if they have 3 shades of yellow, it means the car is close. Tip: look at the delta tab on the top left corner of the screen, if the guy is 0.2sec behind you he's no longer side by side. If he's 0.1, you will hit him if you go to his side of the track.
  • @Elias_g1
You should try turning OFF the Camera Motion Effects. Also, you aren't braking much, trying to carry too much speed into the corners. Your braking input was like 10-20%
  • @Arkovic
second race was really thrilling, having this much battle on the race is extreme levels of fun to me
  • @fawkes5649
You dont need to use a controller, you just need to tune the car and sim rig settings better. You are allowed to tune the multiplayer cars during practice sessions and before the race.
  • @justamanchimp
the slipstream isn’t that magical, it’s just that guy must have tuned his car with too much downforce and lost his straight line speed
  • @michaelw6277
So I think the thing is that there’s an algorithm that decides how much steering angle you get with the gamepad based on your speed is dialed in to minimize understeer induced by adding too much steering angle. That doesn’t exist for a wheel/pedal setup, you have to do that all on your own. Basically it is as you said, you were overdriving the car.
  • @peteuplink
I find the key to racing online is to drive like Jenson Button. Don't slide, keep everything controlled and use smooth movements to try and preserve your tyres as much as possible. You might be slow at the start, but as the race goes on you'll pick up places from the guys who've wrecked their tyres.
  • @Self-Delusion
Between dynamic weather and tire wear, there's a good bit of casual race strategy at play. I feel they've done a good job at making semi-realistic motorsport racing really fun. It's super fun when it starts to rain mid race and everyone has to slip slide to the pits to get new tires.
  • @OHYEAH-km3md
Having to close the entire game because they never thought of putting a cancel button when matchmaking freezes sucks so bad
