３０年ほど前、八重山で漁師やっていましたが、アンボイナを含めイモガイ類は普通に食べていました。 火を通せば毒は消えるのですが、中の毒腺の袋に入っている銛みたいな棘がジャリジャリするので取り除き内臓は外し足だけを食べます。 市場には出せないのですが、味が濃くて美味しいのでオカズと言うか酒のツマミでした。 クモガイは火を通しても少し痺れますが、生を刺し身にすると口から喉からビリビリ痺れて不思議な美味しさでした＾＾ スイジガイは身を食べ、殻を魔よけに、マガキは出荷するので食べませんでした。 懐かしいな。
