I appreciate that you use the aurora in this demonstration. It REALLY shows the depth and control that can be enjoyed with the very basic ship and shows that you don't have to buy a more expensive ship to have an amazing experience.
  • @1Triton
DUDE yes, i've been waiting for a video like this! Everyone is flying dual sticks but hardly anyone wants to talk about how to set it up.
  • @DriftaholiC
Since you have such a refined view of how the ships feel with this setup, I would love reviews on the flight characteristics of them all.
  • @Newt211
The way you fly really allows you to feel the ship. I would love to see you review other ships doing the same maneuvers and getting your first experience with them on cam.
  • @industril
Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to show how you do what you do! It's great to see how other people apply their controls to maneuver their ships around.
  • I for one would like to see a full key bind map for your setup. Anyone can always use that as a starting point and tweak as they see fit. Also, a friend had almost convinced me that I didn't need a second Virpil, and then I see your video. Such great sticks!
  • @Facemaker77
Amazing! This is the exact video I was looking for. Two joysticks from Virpil playing in star citizen. I was already sold but I’m happy to have found this in depth video you have provided. Thank you.
  • @robblevins6009
Nice setup I always think I don't need sticks till I see videos like this.
  • Beautiful music selection. You're flying is mesmerizing to watch.
  • was searching for a dual stick setup for playing games and found your video, along with some info from others it really solidified me into buying the virpil thank you very much
  • @TheDAWinz
Wow if I ever get sticks, this will be high on my list of potential buys. Really smoothe, thanks for the vid!
  • @KoreyMacGill
Hands down one of the best explanation videos. I'm excited to get myself some joysticks and give this a whirl!
  • @Krycius
I think this is by far the best demonstration and explanation of HOSAS flight, seeing your widgets was a great addition to showing what your doing with inputs. Its definately helped me decide on trying the HOSAS setup as I'm currently on a HOTAS with a Virpil Constellation with a Saitek X55 throttle. I've been considering getting the Virpil Throttle but have been very curious of the HOSAS setup and if I'm spending the money on a second Virpil, I don't want to buy one just to later switch to the other. I'm not going to get a cheaper stick to try the HOSAS setup and then will make my mind on which second Virpil product to buy. Once again... great video!

Thanks for the display and use of the teall display. Spent a couple of hours last night setting one up for my Hotas setup for Ursa driving for the Daymar Rally. Really interesting. Have to work out getting square dots instead of the round ones. Well done and grea video on your flying technique and setup!

I love seeing what you can do with an Aurora! Would totally want to meet up ingame and let you fly some of the other ships just to see what's happening.
  • @TheDAWinz
Also, the screenwipes technique of transition is excellent, and will always be my favorite. It's always reminded me of Star Wars and how screenwipe transitions were big in the George Lucas films. And motion in shots, Star Wars and Akira Kurosawa shout outs as well! Love it.

Dual stick pilot here. It's an amazing feeling I actually fly with my roll being on the Twist axis, and my yaw being on the X (left/Right) Axis for my right stick. Clockwise Twist rolls the ship left. I am imagining as if I had the joystick in my hand, and just straightened my elbow and held it at my side, so the top of the joystick is pointing forward Then my Vertical Trust is on the twist axis for my Left Hand. My left hand twisting clock-wise is "thrust-up", because in my head it makes sense as a mirror of the right hand rule used for Vector multiplication. I grew up on flight sims, so it was an awkward transitions at first, It actually makes it easier to track targets when in 6DOF combat, since you don't NEED to bank before turning, and you have MUCH more accuracy in your X/Y axis on your joystick than you do on your twist axis

Your pilot skills are my Life Goals; beautiful work Sir!
  • I love all your videos on Star Citizen. It has made me want to play it!
