Bruce, if you do that again, use 50% gas in the Fuel. It'll blow the heads off!!!🤣
-
That was awesome. That engine is amazing to last that long pegged. I sure wouldn’t have left that motorcycle that close. Lucky no collateral damage
-
Wow, I didn't think a diesel engine could spin 7000rpm for an extended period. Cool little engine. Something like that would make a cool go-kart engine.
-
That engine was absolutely impressive!! The fact it ran away that long before letting go shows how tough and durable it is!!
-
The several inch long orange flames coming out the exhaust ports means that, yep, you gave 'er all the way.. Beyond the mustard, beyond the ketchup, right directly into the danger zone.. 👍 Nice job, men. 👌 🍻

You should have mounted it to a couple big 6x6 wood posts and then propped it up with some 2x4's just to keep it upright lol. You need to do more videos like this.
-
I love these small diesel engines. The lawnmower size a cool.
-
You should be carrying a CO2 fire extinguisher on every "will it start" one blast into the air intake will shut down a runaway diesel immediately and not harm the engine. It's what we use and was taught at the fire College
-
The Hillbilly in me is a bit pissed off because that could have powered some epic hillbilly engineering but at the same time the fiery explosion was very gratifying to watch as well
-
That plate that says VM motori? Thats the manufacturer of that engine. VM are one of the largest diesel engine manufacturers you've never heard of - mainly because most there engines are built for other manufacturers to rebrand as their own - including a lot of car manufacturers.
-
I know those engines, shame to see one blown up.
-
I’m a Cummins person, I could’ve used that to power my giant to scale connects truck I’m making.
-
Well if anyone was wondering about the durability of the little Deutz/ Detroit air cooled industrial engine, there you go.
-
It's too bad that cylinder number one left the party so early, but it was still a pretty spectacular conclusion.. 😆
-
That engine restored looked like it would have made a great engine for several applications.
-
Love the video, love all the videos but that would have been an engine to get going and either keep or sell. Strong engines.
-
It was a old stucco pump with a hydraulic mixer attached used to spray Fireproofing❗️💯💪
-
Great video! I love watching stuff like this!
-
what a waste... (mic drop)

The easiest way to start a diesel with low compression is to blow a heat gun into the air intake. If the injection system is working, it will start as easily as a fully warmed engine. You can keep the heat on the air intake as long as necessary, until the engine does warm up.
