I love it when comics remember that Peter is an extremely clever and powerful person, and not just a pit of eternal misery and suffering.
  • No way! A spider comic where Peter gets to be smart, creative, strong, not have a friend die and not get chucked 105 times? How is such a thing possible?

I love how Peter realized something was off because it's hard from him have long friendships 😂
  • I love how Thor and Spiderman talk it out. really shows their friendship
  • spiderman held his own with a female hulk and cosmic blitzer a ww2 veteren a vibrainum king and technological genius and an asgardian thunder god with only 12 hours of prep time thats wild "Can he turn invisible like the other one" -She hulk i love the miles morales reference
  • Spider-Man was always strong af. In the "superior Spider-Man," when Doc Ock takes over Pete's body, he is absolutely furious when he realizes how strong Parker really is and how weak he was in comparison. In all those years of fighting, Parker could have ended his life with a single punch at any time - but he never did. Peter's whole thing is holding back, trying to diffuse situations and persuading people with words.
  • There's a reason Peter is respected by basically every superhero group in Marvel Comics. Hell, even some of the villains respect him enough to acknowledge that he shouldn't be taken lightly.
  • @INONYMOUS.
This ain't humbling, this man be the peak of shenanigans
  • Spiderman realizing he was brainwashed because his friends suck is just too on point

"Hi Thor! Bye Thor!" Love how casual he is with these escapes and daily quips, lol

See, THIS is a proper depiction of Spider-Man, not like the recent run (Zeb Wells). He's a skilled fighter with a brilliant, unconventional and cunning mind able to outwit and outmaneuver experienced heroes. At the same time, he's friendly, tries to resolve things peacefully and is incredibly insightful and as such, doesn't get caught up in typical villain tricks. It's like in Astonishing X-Men, when the world was almost destroyed by a giant bullet and all the heroes were caught in an illusion of them saving the world. Peter was the only one to realize something was off and broke free. Edit: What's depressing is that if they'd done the whole MJ stuck in another dimension properly, they could have had her pregnant with Mayday or Anna-May and then brought her into the 616 comics as a 4 or 3-year old, thus fixing OMD entirely, change the status quo and create SO many writing possibilities
  • I remember when Spidey just easily uncuffed from Reed's so-called impossible-to-break cuff and made Reed man-crush for Spidey's intelligence.

    >Captain Marvel chokes Spidey >Spidey shoots his web right after that >insert meme "Hey, Peter Parker~ Got something for me?"
  • @mrartdeco
Peter really makes Captain Marvel eats his white substance
  • First, Spider sense is more busted than some people know and second, never give someone like Peter Parker prep time
  • This is nothing new Spider-Man has always been able to do this as far back as the Spider-man character goes he has been the guy solo humbling teams.

The artists knew what they were doing with the Captain Marvel panel. I refused to believe not one joke was uttered.

I can't believe Spider-Man came on Captain Marvel's mouth like that.
