God bless our troops! I'm not hearing the respect I want for our troops on country radio so we're doing it here! I debated recording this song for over 6 years. So glad I did. FOLLOW Buddy Brown on Spotify and Apple Music!

Buddy, I'm 75 now. 10 year Navy Vietnam veteran. We didn't hear much "welcome home" or "thanks for your service" when we got home. But there are sooo many patriotic songs out there now. And sooo many people stop us now and say "thanks for your service" that it feels good to hear it. Thank you, to ALL that say "thanks for your service" to the vets in uniform, or those of us that wear it proudly on our hats or jackets. And thank you, Buddy, for singing one of those patriotic songs. God bless you and yours. God bless all of you.

He wasn't even wearing a uniform... I was visiting the United States about two years ago as a tourist from Switzerland. When I was in Washington D.C., I obviously walked around the National Mall and when I went the The Wall to pay my respects there was this old black guy walking towards me. It was evening, getting dark and he was walking with a cane. I thought that he was about the age of a Vietnam veteran, and that he had just visited the names of former brothers in arms. When he saw me, he kind of stopped right in his tracks, took the cane into his left hand, looked me right in the eyes and saluted. Without having a thought I immediately saluted back, being an officer in the Swiss Army and such. He broke out in tears and said to me "God bless you, son!". Never experienced a more touching moment in my live.
  • Love this song. My husband served 28 years and deployed 5 times protecting the freedoms that most Americans take for granted. Thank you for reminding Americans of the sacrifices our military and their families make everyday. I do not regret one moment of our life as a military family, it has made us stronger, more grateful and a strong sense of what is important in life.

Thank you for the support a lot of people have forgotten we exist. I am currently deployed.
  • 🇺🇸 The flag does not wave from the wind. It flies from the last breath of every soldier who gave their life defending it!! 🇺🇸
  • I’m 6 foot 2 and 270 pounds of muscle but when I heard this song I began to tear up. I haven’t served in the military but have nothing but respect for our active duty and veterans thank you for shedding some more light on these brave men and women.

I’m a niece of a Vietnam marine. This is a beautiful song and I’m proud to be an American. 🇺🇸 God bless America! 🇺🇸 Thank you Buddy.
