Why the Wings would want him is beyond me. Unless it's like 50% retained.

Im a Rangers fan, i cant wait until hes off the team, hes a bog part of the reason wht the rangers lost to the panthers this off season. If a trade isnt possible, i hope they put him on waivers, i wish we can get back 8 million on the cap again, that would be great
  • We as Rangers fans have hurt feelings watching him, only difference is he's been over compensated.
  • Hopefully he just accepts the trade. However, if he's claimed on waivers the nyrs save even more money 💰
  • My thoughts as a Rangers fan… you don’t play a single game on a broken ankle especially if it’s the playoffs. That’s an I/ME mentality when you do that there’s no part of any team involved, we had two or even three players in our farm system that could have made far better decisions on the ice because they were healthy. Off ice leadership doesn’t get anyone far it’s about winning on the ice CYA!
  • I watch the Wpg Jets. Jacob Trouba added a lot to our team defence way back when. I am kind of sad that he and Blake have fallen on hard times. Both men played their very well when they were with us.
  • Yeah.....this is a good move for rangers, one that they should have done when they decided to make him captain.
  • @juans3728
Look you can't be that harsh on Trouba management is at fault for making him a captain and giving him a undeserving contract if he were a consistent player i would disagree on his trade but his play leaves anything to be desired and to be a captain means being a leader who has the last word, the leader the team looks up to, defend your teammates and going above and beyond.
  • If Trouba wants to stay , I have faith in him that he will up his game . he is a leader on and off the ice.
  • Mika, Panarin and Trouba were the core of this team for yrs. 2 Conf Finals in 3 yrs is this rosters limit. Time to change it up and thats what they're doing
  • @DERTHIX
Based off the title card he's not just done with the rangers... He's also done with the rangers.
  • it’s about the cap. Too bad they can’t restructure his deal at 4 per. Who’s going to protect the players now? Does Rempe go full time? Who on defense can protect and be a menace? Alot of questions to answer and holes to fill
