One of the questions that I get ALL of the time is how I practice my handwriting. I am definitely NOT a handwriting expert, but I did my best to walk you through my process in this video today. Enjoy!

As always, there’s a companion blog post right here: www.bohoberry.com/handwriting/

- DON’T FORGET - Next week is my first Q & A! If you have any questions for me, please comment below and I’ll get to as many as I can :)

Your cursive is beautiful. It is a dying art. Cursive is my default handwriting now because it was drilled into me in school. I had teachers who wouldn't accept work unless it was in cursive and all their notes were in cursive as well. I'm thankful for keeping that skill now. Keep at it!
  • This inspired me to take up my own handwriting practise again. I had forgotten how relaxing and meditative it can be after a hectic day and why it is worth taking the time to write (and hand letter) my bullet journal pages.

I'm also learning cursive since it's not in the curriculum anymore. Mom says they should add it back because kids can't read old documents. When we had to answer some questions about a share document, only 5 kids (including me.) knew how to read it. I know how read cursive since I grew up reading my mom's calligraphy handwriting.

I would love to see a video on the basics of fountain pens, how they work, your favorite pens and ink, and refilling the ink. Thank you so much I love your videos!

Those practice books remind me of the first year of school where we learned how to write. But I think I would enjoy it more now than back then. :D Congratulations to 10k subscribers! :)
  • I've been practicing brush lettering, and bought a bunch of black brush pens (most are fairly cheap, especially from JetPens.com). The one I found had the least ghosting in my Leuchtturm1917 was the Cocoiro one, and it also was nice and small, so perfect for the headers in my bullet journal. Definitely faster than trying to thicken up your letters later.

My first ever fountain pen (a number of years ago) was a black and rose gold TWSBI, and to this day is still my favorite!!!!!!!

Handwriting is such a lost art.  When I saw your handwriting on Instagram the first time I remember thinking your cursive had such an old beautiful style - makes sense why now!! :)
