  • According to The Storm of War, more French worked with the Germans than actively resisted them.

I was honored to meet Walter D Elhers at our battalion memorial dedication after our 06-07 deployment to Baghdad with 1-18 1ID. I knew who the man was before I even joined and to serve in the same battalion as such a hero has always humbled me. First to battle…. Till the last round! In Omnia Paratus. Vanguards!

Can't teach an ant to drive a car. No matter how hard ya try. Can't change the mind of the sheeple either. No point in arguing with strangers who don't see the obvious truth.😂😂😂😂😂 Have fun

As a former Marine and veteran.... while at 29 Palms, California. I was warned not to sleep on the ground. @ 3am an alien with big , black ,eyes, and human hand's smiled at me. It was 18 inches tall and looked like a Pale monkey, with sharp , cat like teeth. I screamed....it ran... nobody believes me.
  • Patton was a true American patriot and one hell of a general. He was relentless in battle and i believe he was right about Russia. If only they listened to patton. The world would be so different now
  • The gulf wars. The military had their stuff more together. Use air power to take. Out commands and controls and radar sites. . Etc.

Seems our current training is not on what you have when deployed.

46:54 First shots fired at Kasserine Pass came from the Americans. A 35mm howitzer. My dad tagged along with the heavy weapons unit, led by T5 Sgt. Nelson. First German vehicles to enter the pass were touring cars. Four vehicles were destroyed and two captured. Nelson received the Bronze Star for his actions. Prisoners were taken. My dad said he and the others were confused as to why the touring cars were there. When the German tanks showed up, the American tank destroyers and artillery were no match against the tanks. They got out of there in the Fiat touring cars they captured. They were able to keep one car for use by their company.

If anybody said that they weren't scared at that time they were lying! Even now, if anybody in combat says that they're not scared they're lying
  • My Dad was in the hospital tent when Patton attacked the enlisted soldier. Yes, attacked not slapped. My Dad swears Patton "pistol whipped" the soldier. The newspapers used "slapped" so that the American people would not be so horrified. I and my best friend took my Dad to see the movie "Patton" when it first came out. When the scene of Patton slapping the soldier was shown, my Dad went ballistic! He stood up in the aisle and started shouting very loudly. "That Bas*tard took out his pistol and beat the soldier bloody"! We were told to leave the theater. My Dad had NEVER talked about his WW2 experiences before. On the drive home we could not get him to shut about them. He kept saying things about Patton and how much he hated the man. By the time we got home he calmed down and again NEVER talked about WW2.

If I were an ally and the French were attacking, I would have been pissed. When it came time to free the French, they had nothing. The French spent it on resisting their allies. History has really given them a pass on their duplicity. I wonder how that plays into the current environment.

"The first action for George S Patton in WW2"? Didnt he command troops in the taking of Casablanca before Normandy?
