I have watched so MANY self teach videos and frankly learnt NOTHING, either getting fed up with all the uneccessary woffle or listening to people massaging their own egos!!! This IS THE BEST VIDEO I have ever seen. From the very start It ALL made SENSE. I have now LEARNT what I had long since given up even trying to learn. I NOW KNOW how to memorize every note on my guitar.FANTASTIC!! Thank you SO MUCH.

Two and a half minutes in this video taught me more than tens of other full videos. I didn’t even finish the video and here i am commenting.

If only i had these resources 40 years ago. What a time we live in. You guys rock.
  • @lars4050
This is without doubt the most important video for a beginner. Well done 👍

I have been playing guitar since the mid 80's and never memorized all the notes. I could tell you what they are but, it would take some time. A few weeks ago I started watching these videos on Youtube and this one is by far the best method. Great lesson!!
  • @A.LeMayo
Great editing, I love the transparent finger effect so you can see the fretboard
  • @VHJGaming
That was literally THE most helpful video I've ever watched on the guitar. The way so many others try to explain what you just explained, was like taking a lesson on quantum physics & how quantum entanglement works. You simplified it down in such a way that I think anyone could understand. You literally just unlocked the fretboard in my mind for the first time ever. It's so clear now I feel stupid for having never known it. I've always just played by ear. Definitely subscribing!
  • The two octave shapes brought it home for me. You know what enlightenment is… You bring it my man.
  • Why has nobody ever explained it this way to me before ? Great video, thank you 👏👍🎸🎸

This is the first time in my Life a fret board has made sense to me. I've taken guitar lessons and this is the one thing i always wanted to know. Thanks Homeboy
  • Knowing where the BC & EF notes is really helpfull as these natural notes are 1 semitone apart...every other natural note will be a full 2 frets from one another moving up or down the fretboard. Great video man !
  • @redmed10
Excellent. So many guitar YouTubers claim to get you to learn fret board quickly. This one acknowledges it takes time but provides an effective and fun technique to help you get there. Best I've seen anyway.
  • @mrbubbies_
fantastic, taking the frets in groups of 3 alone made all the difference
  • @Squealz_
Every video I have ever watched on fret board theory was nothing but rocket science until I found this video, thank you!
  • @Halfaloaf599
Excellent video, one never stops learning. 45 years and I picked up another useful nugget! Thanks!
  • @johNvega
This was really helpful and well explained. Thanks! And, btw, for me as located in Germany, your English is better to understand for me than, for example, the Birmingham UK accent 🤘🏻
  • @azndoodle1
Love it. Even as a beginner this resonates so much easier. It's nice to reference piano keys too
  • @dancooper1
Best explanation I've ever seen on YouTube. Simple when well explained. Thank you.
  • This is by far the most simplest explanation of the fretboard notes. LIGHT BULB TURNED ON!!!!
