Hi I am usually skeptical about YouTubers reccomendation of productivity app cuz they are all paid but I am so impressed with how you take note of that and gave multiple legit reccomendations that I personally use as well! Great job Jeff!!
  • @HerOnlineBrand
I just wanted to say thank you for the Monitor Control recommendation. I got my first monitor and the dance to adjust brightness is sooooo annoying. I'm a software nerd too but I've been so lazy to find a solution. I nearly cried tears of joy when I downloaded it and IT WORKED!!! No more eye strain. Thank you!!!!

I recently switched from Alfred to Raycast, and I love it. The ability to create extensions using React with good system APIā€™s and documentation got me sold. The eco system might be lacking a bit compared to Alfred, but given enough time I think it will surpass it.

Tried making a few of these mac app videos myself but this is just next level production quality. Thanks for the inspiration and a great video!
  • MacOS can do almost everything that cleanshotx does. Cmd+Shift+3 and you can annotate, if you cmd+shift+3 and than press spacebar, you can also make a beautiful screenshot of specific window with transparency and rounded corners.
  • @PopescuAndra
I just received my new macbook and the first thing i wanted to do is search on your channel what setup should i use. always a fan, thank you!
  • @ConsumeTV
This video is AMAZING! I ended up downloading Monitor Control to use with my LG external monitor, which I never found a way to control the brightness with but by using the actual buttons on the monitor, until now. Thanks so much. I also wanted to download Moom, but ended up installing Rectangle instead because it was free. I've been using macOS for more than 10 years now and I don't know how I was able to go along without such an easy way of resizing app windows. Definitely subcribed!

Surprised better touch tool wasn't mentioned. I love it and it has a built in great clipboard manager and great window snaping, along with a million other features. It is paid but there's a 45 day free trial if you want to try it out. I really do love it and I feel like it's made me so much more efficient.

I recently switched to mac from a lifetime of windows and your series of mac apps/tips have saved my life (i.e. very much made the transition more seamless than I expected). Still have some transition pains, but your suggestions are on point and are actually things that I wanted to download immediately, compared to some other videos Iā€™ve found. Anyway, love your humour and presentation style. Followed your channel a couple days ago when I first watched your videos, but I enjoy them so much that Iā€™ve been coming back to them and watching your other ones as well. Thanks for these great vids :)
  • @MusicByDarcy
So glad I saw this to learn about Monitor Control ... I NEEDED THIS SO BAD!
  • @calvinthesilva
Love these Mac App videos - what about a spotlight on slack? I've had it for so long, but I still don't feel like I'm using it to it's full potential.
  • @esausse
Another great video, Jeff ! I love Cleanshot X & Alfred (can't wait for a video on that one!). Will check the other apps for sure! Thanks for everything!
  • @Aidan_Au
Thanks Jeff for making another productivity video! I miss your career videos on answering behavioral questions
  • @amazingmuse5
The video I needed!. Thank you very much. I just change to MacOS for my notebook and I was a little bit lost.
  • @blenthusiasts
alfred video definitely of the best workflows to use!
  • @das_hans
Just FYI MacOS regular screenshot tool has the feature that lets you take those pictures of a window with the shadow or any menu element like a Dropdown-Menu and stuff like that. Just press space after you hit the selective screenshot shortcut. The icon on you mouse will change into a camera icon and any window or distinct menu element can just be clicked to screenshot that way. (That being said I think the app is more about the notation features which seems great. Stood out to me that this is a native feature, is all. And itā€™s a tip I had to learn that is super useful in certain situations.)

  • @ittymathewmakes
This is a great video. Iā€™ve seen so many videos like this over the years and only ever caught one or two new apps to try out. Literally every single app in this was new to me and canā€™t wait to try it out. Thanks Jeff!
