Nearly every review of this mic complains about the mounting system not holding the mic in position. People crank the thumb screws down with pliers and it's still too loose. No need for pliers --- the solution is to tighten the locknut underneath so that it compresses the friction bushing. That is the way the system was designed to work in the first place and it is just misunderstood by almost everyone who owns one of these mics.
