I love how fast that guy can incentivise the action. "We KNOW what's down there..." Without missing a beat "Who KNOWS what treasure your missing down there...."
  • @Quicksilver135
lol I love Zeb's reaction when the team wanted to base all of their strategy on the flamethrower haha.

"I guess, if these shields are buried with the dwarves, we should go down to the grotto." ...thus leaving the tomb and entering a natural cavern. That logic makes sense...

A very fun part of the game, is just sitting around, shooting the shit about the game. It can keep the mood where it should be. Fun and friendly.

09:04 -" ... if were not in this grotto in 5 secs ... -" brilliant
  • I am always happy to see these podcasts. Reminds me of all the game sessions I've DM'd or participated in. LOVE it!

The flame thrower debate IS what its all about. Awesome.
  • @jkeuwk
I love how Zeb just sort of chimes in "wait, you guys want to WHAT?"
  • They spent basically this whole episode deciding whether or not to take the flamethrower LOL
  • @Fjarhultian
Tenser's Floating soft landing, of course. You fail to appreciate the versatility!

My favorite part: Zeb: "When we get to the end of this podcast, and we don't have a fucking shield, I want you guys to remember how much landscaping we did just so this flamethrower could follow us into the grotto, and I hope you guys are proud of yourselves."

As a DM, I can attest the players DO get into 10 minute long discussions about situations FREQUENTLY
  • @Ozrender
some of the best games I have DM-ed have been with minimum dice rolling and lots of discussion. great stuff

"Just to be clear, I hate you all" — Semi-sentient Ballistae with some attitude.
  • @markermage
I would have gone with "explore the places that are flamethrower accessible" plan. The grotto isn't going anywhere. You can come back to it later. And with everywhere else explored, you wouldn't need to worry about how to get the semi-sentient flamethrower out of the grotto. Well, you might want to bring it back out of the dungeon with you, but then you can just use whatever plan you had in mind for getting it up the stairs at the entrance, which was probably Tenser's Floating Disk.

I live for moments like these in D&D. :)

It's always like this when the PC's finda kickass artifact of destruction.

The last time we found an intelligent construct, he went rogue on us later on.

In many DnD adventures things are rarely what they seem.

I think that the dungeon is mostly built for some other purpose, and that the entrance through the grotto is a collapsed part, so the fact that the dungeon with the statues is connected to the tomb is purely coincidence and luck.
