Gia Scott-Heron “My Liquor Store Story” #humor #funny #homlessness

Publicado 2021-10-26
This is my first foray into storytime telling in YT. All parts Re-enacted by your truly 😅
Being approached by those who are homeless or Indigent Is a common occurrence here In the city of Los Angeles. We are the 2nd highest ranked city In the country for homelessness, and Half of the top 10 cities with the highest homeless populations are here In California 😔
I wanted to wrap this Information Inside of a little humor. I feel like It’s part of my job as an “Edutainor” like my father Gil Scott-Heron. He would often share monologues with his audience as a way of warming up the crowd. These stories were as Informative as they were humorous.
My mother Is Brenda Sykes and she was an actress. So this video Is definitely a nod to her as well. 😘
In just a fews days I’ll be heading out to Cleveland to attend the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremonies. My father will be one of the 2021 Inductees along with Tina Turner, L.L. Cool J, Jay-Z and many others!
I’ll be back with another video real soon and this one will be ALL about the Hall of Fame so stay tuned!! 😉

  • While I am somewhat familiar with homelessness myself, the information about this story that got my attention was you are MARRIED! I didn't know that one at all, Queen Sister! Congratulations are in order! BTW: Peace go with General Jeff.
  • my daughter said you look like your dad, (I taught my kids about him along with my father)😎
  • Sista Gia, I was just thinking when your dad said "Let me see your I.D." and then I thought about them demanding "Let me see you vaccination card", just thinking.
  • Tell me something my sister whatever happened to Habitat for humanities that was a program across the country where you can buy a building and fix it up after you fix it up you can live in it they have so many talented people with so many skills and trades they can rebuild America if given the chance seems they want you incarcerated not educated what a damn say
