The roborock seems like the pick for me. If I'm too lazy to vacuum, I'm too lazy to remove a mop all the time

Thank you for a quality content: presentation, real world tests, comparisons - just top notch πŸ‘
  • After a lot of deliberation and great advice from robomate, I chose the roborock because of the mop lifting function. I love that it gets the job done with me only needing to clean and empty once a week. Really happy with my choice!

I didn't mention Yiko, Ecovacs' in-built voice assistant in this video... mostly because I'm sharing my own personal experiences and opinions with the robots and I almost never use it personally. Some people will love this feature but I prefer the app and scheduling.

I came to your channel for the first time due to giveaway points but was really impressed by the technical depth of the review - something we don't see nowadays. My least favorite chore is still to 'fold clothes' :(

X1 Omni has the best mopping mechanism , it is the mopping pad not getting water enough to remove the stains....If you test again with third party (white) mopping pad, it allows water absorbing much better than the OEM mopping pad and see the mopping would improve a lot !! Yep I agreed that it is weird that everyone thought the rotating mopping could have performed better - YEP it should but it could not because of the OEM mopping pad issue!
  • I need one of these! Got a surgery next week that will have a 6-8 week recovery time. This would be a lifesaver πŸ™Œ

This looks awesome and it would be great for elderly people which in turn would help them to stay in their own home longer.

"Appliance" vs. "Tech gadget" aren't the descriptions I'd use, though I agree with your assessment. I would say "Minimalist" vs. "Utilitarian" describe the industrial designs as they are.
  • I'm here for the NZ competition. My 5yr old son asked for a robot vacuum cleaner and an ad popped up on my feed which led me here. Commenting to win the giveaway for him. The algorithm must have heard him πŸ˜…

The mopping effect is quite different in the video. Roborock wins a lot. I may consider buying Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra in Black Friday, as there is promotion.

Ive had s7maxv for about 3 months now and the only negative thing i have to say about it is the obstacle avoidance. Yes i understand that theyre constantly getting better but their ability as of now is very minimal. Especially with wires you just cant trust it at all which means you end up putting no go zones where ever you have wires usually laying around. Otherwise its absolutely fantastic machine. No doubt the best vacuum mop combo out there and i believe it will hold that place for quite awhile.
  • @oglaucio
Forget the vacuum, I wanna live in that house! :) (Just got the S7 vMax for black Friday to add to the S4 we've been using for the last few years). Cheers and thanks for the review!

I'd love to have either of these machines, although I think my preference would be the Ecovacs X1 Omni. It's a hard choice, they both seem so good.

Avoid buying Deebot/Ecovacs products in Australia. Their Victorian service centre had my Deebot 9 in for warrantee repairs twice for the same fault. They can't repair it and Ecovacs have refused to replace it or give a refund. Don't let this happen to you. Choose another brand.
  • @purplegypsy22
They both look awesome and be so lovely to have one especially with my back pain πŸ™‚

Just ordered a roborock s7max on their thanksgiving sale. s7 max looks smarter than x1, and I like the feature of lifting the mop.
  • @taramoala2800
Really good video, not bias towards one or the other. Just really showing the pros and cons. Thanks
  • Anything this company recommends I would be happy to buy! Love these comparable reviews πŸ‘Œ
