I loved when the Doctor entered the time window and acted serious as he walked up and down assessing it and then just cant hold back his laughter about what a lash up it is.
  • When Carla said “It’s the beast!”, I knew it was going to be Sutekh. I had suspected since The Devil’s Chord with that blatant Pyramids of Mars reference. I watched this episode with my heart racing like I was 9 years old again watching seasons 25 and 26. You can call it all set-up, but the atmosphere was electric. I was glued to the screen.
  • I think Sutekh choose the name Susan deliberately to toy with the doctor since he taunts the doctor with "did you think I was family?". Though it is still possible to come full circle with this if Susan was Rubys mother and has some connection to Sutekh

My jaw dropped with that reveal tbh
  • @akaQuzoh
Sutekh was Egyptian in nature and your cat knew that, he heard his God summoned

So about Shirley, Donna and 14. In trailers people noticed on the UNIT screens listing personel that Shirley, Donna and “Redacted” were away at Geneva.

My reaction was: “HERE’S THE DOG BOI!” I predicted this a while back, with “Empire of Death” and the direct Pyramids of Mars reference back in Devil’s Chord. That’s not a bad thing by the way. Cool thing that I predicted that :)

I do hope we get scenes with Gabriel Woolf just giving a good monologue next week though. I hope it's not just bang, crash, wallop, if you know what I mean.

When their in the time window, Carla calls the anubis cloud "the beast". I started flipping thinking it was the guy from the satan pit

I was 9 or 10 when I watched The Pyramids of Mars on my local PBS station on a late Sunday night in the early 1980s. It scared the living shit out of me! To this day, seeing Sutekh’s real face is creepy as hell. And now Sutekh is BACK and I am utterly stunned!

This episode was intense. The rising tension and suspense leading up to the reveal was so chilling. Practically at the edge of my bed. The fact that Gabriel Woolf is back while he’s 91 makes this return even more hype. I honestly thought the Sutekh return theory was something that was really over-analysed and would only disappoint them if what was presented on screen didn’t meet the fanfiction they made up, much like the Star Wars fandom. 😂 Still, I’m excited to see how this plays out. Let’s hope Russell can keep this up next week.

I missed all the discourse around who the reveal would turn out to be (VERY INTENTIONAL) so I was blown away. It was the last thing I was suspecting. And I literally didn't get it, until the actual name drop. So RTD got me.

i guess is makes sense with the One Who Waits being Sutekh, the one who waited thousands of years to be released and he waited further to when he could emerge once again, and my thought is that he never really left and stayed in one place here he would be safe till that moment that being the Tardis as it would have been eluding to here he was hidden. and i have to say he got a major make over from that creepy head that you see in the Pyramids of Mars, and at one point i thought one person that may show up would be the Master as we hear a motif that the last we heard it was in World Enough And Time, when the Master ripped off his disguise.

I'm being stupid, I'm gonna try my hardest to wait till next weekend so I can experience both episodes in the cinema for the first time. Just popping in to like and share wellwishes with everyone 😊
  • Do you reckon Susan's little dance on stage was meant to emulate a certain "dancing queen" PM from a few years back? It was almost as awkward but much better performed.
  • @NightlisHolly
I read the theory on the Internet, and I did firmly believe it, but when Sutekh's name really popped up, I started screaming and chanting so loud that my roommate thought I had a heart attack.
  • @adamfreddo5703
Also, that cliffhanger would have been justifiable for a Mel scream to credits 😂.
  • @JRHainsworth
So, the CCTV camera could only see Ruby's mom from 66 meters/73 yards away?
  • @HudsonMedia
This reaction was actually brilliant 😂 you need to do more! Also loved that cliffhanger. I’ve never been so hyped during an episode broadcast in a very long time.
