This is my first "Gaming" video in about 4 years! Do let me know if you want to see round 2 for this series! To see me buy the strangest tech on the entire internet: https://youtu.be/2TqOmtTAMRY

You forgot to mention the Ps2 console was the first one that could play DVD movies and TV shows. It's what made it feel more like a home entertainment centre than just a game console.
-
I can't believe you didn't mention the DVD player in the PlayStation 2. It is undeniably the reason why it's sold so well. DVD players were really expensive at the time so you could get a game console and a DVD player for cheaper in some cases than just a DVD player. It was literally a game changer.

This video is a fantastic blast from the past! As a gamer who grew up with these iconic consoles, it's so cool to see them in action again. I'm amazed by the evolution of gaming technology over the years. And that fun fact about the PS3 controller turning on the system is mind-blowing! Thanks for taking us on this nostalgic journey, and I'd love to see more videos like this in the future. š®š

This concept of moving through the history of a product and seeing its evolution is so fun! U should definitely do more of them on the Nintendo, Xbox etc.
-
Bro the PSP was revolutionary, no idea why is isnāt in this video

The ps5 looks like a SCI-FI WI-FI router
-
Fun fact: The PS3 wireless controller could actually turn the system on too! Loved the trip through nostalgia!

I heard as well that apparently an important part of what seemed to aid Sony with PS2 sales was the fact that it cost a very similar amount (or sometimes even less) than a DVD player whilst being able to play DVDs, so people were buying the console instead of the standalone DVD player.

I remember switching on HD for the first time on the PS3. I was playing RE5, and I was confused by how blurry the game was. I realised I had forgotten to turn on the setting in the video settings and my mind was officially mind blown. Everything was so sharp, and so crisp that I didn't even know how I put up with SD. I do like the only ascetics of older consoles, but once I hit ps3 I need to have it in HD

You forgot to say why Sony released the PS1 in the first place. They were going to partner up with Nintendo till they betrayed Sony , and the rest is history. Looks like Sony got their revenge. Also Sony has never lost to Xbox. The PS3 did beat the Xbox and it was released a year later
-
this is honestly one of the best ways to see how far technology has come in such a small time span
-
You can turn the PS3 on with the controller as well. 12:08 Whatās great about the PS3 console in this video is that it is backwards compatible with PS2 disc. All ps3 models can play PS1 disc.

So sad what happened with SEGA. First console was a Dreamcast and I still to this day feel it was ahead of its time
-
You can turn on the ps3 with the controller. The ps3 has so many features that the ps4 feels like a small upgrade Edit: Also ps3 can output 1080p Same as ps4, sony had to launch the ps4 pro for 4k gaming, so ps3 and ps4 are same in terms of resolution

In the late 1990s the OG PlayStation controller was upgraded to the DualShock, later called the DualShock 1 once the PS2 was released with its own iteration of the technology. I remember getting a PlayStation in 1998 and the grey controllers already had analogue sticks and rumble.

Love this, I have been a gamer all my life, I am 42 now and the advancement we have made is mad, cant imagine what the next 40 years will bring, looking forward to it
