WHY I SWITCH BLENDER TO AUTODESK MAYA IN 2024

after 05 yrs with maya , me switched to blender..🙂

I have experience in blender and unity of 3 years but now i switched to learn Maya, substance painter and unreal engine because in large industries these are more in demand

blender is just meant for passion and freelancing otherwise maya is ruling the industry.

From the comment it seem more of 'demand' problem in India rather than which software is better for animation here ? Modeling ke liye blender or maya ? I think blender is better for 3d modelling because all the shortcuts makes it faster and easy, like if you wanna rotate something by a particular angle in a particular direction we can just do it directly with keyboard by just typing where in Maya we need to first see the axis then type the angle in properties panel. There are many more features like for creating multiple edge loop just rotate the mouse while in blender to increase the numbers of edge loops while in maya we need to open tool properties. What is your opinion ?

Everyone wants to switch on maya but the cost 💀

I've been working with Blender for 2 years, but I have an Auto Desk student license for about 7 more months. Should I cram as much Maya in as I can? My goal is to get on with a small VFX company or perhaps do some freelance work...thanks for any advice!

The switching is back and forth. But I advise, don’t follow the trend. Learn Maya, Learn Houdini, and maybe cinema 4d because of its uniqueness in Motion graphics and you are absolutely good to go anywhere. But if blender is what you like, then keep to it, what’s important is getting the job done.
