I’m struck by the eloquence of daughter in law of Gen Patton, Joanne Patton, in her little speech to the community, she is like that wise aunt, mother, grandmother that you can go to and walk away with life wisdom you can count on. Especially when life puzzles you with a problem that requires wisdom and common sense, unclouded by anything else. She must have been a fantastic person.

My Father served in his 3rd army 11 months on the front.

maybe some were afraid gen. Patton would come back after the war and run for president

I am sure that if G.S.P had not died in an "accident". He would have made a damn fine president
  • Married Fredrick Ayer daughter. Ayer started Huron mountain club and Svalbard where the seed vault is
  • Fine video, but the loud music distracts one from the content. I have long been an admirer of Patton, and proudly wore the Third Army patch when I served 1962-1965

When did he live there? He grew up in CA, went to VMI, then West Point. Lived his entire adult life in the Army. And his wife died in 1953. How is she still living there?
  • General George S. Patton was born in the San Gabriel Valley and grew up in San Marino California in Los Angeles. His family is buried in their family church that they would all attend. There’s even a statue of General Patton at the church cemetery. I know I’ve been there myself I’m from Los Angeles California born and raised.

Sounds to me like George figured out the Genesis 36:2 shtick! He got whacked for that!
  • @MarkM58
Mrs. Patton died on Sept 30, 1953.
  • Another inaccuracy...he says that the General had 4 children....He had 3....not 4.
