Could just bolt or epoxy a piece of polycarbonate or clear plastic on the front or on the bottom, could get fogged up though

I'm assuming that there's a purpose to the sand fountain, other than just to do it? This seems rather specific.

Been bingewatching your videos for a bit now, and I've been thinking, to avoid getting the sand stuck in between the parts, how about having the screw fully encased (so it's like a spiral straw) and therefoor just avoiding the problem as a whole? Also maybe for a better effect, you could have 2 screws in place, and the moment the one screw drops off the sand, the other screw end is on the opposite side, so they each wait their turn to drop off the sand (I'm not sure, but I feel like this could solve the smoothness of the sandfall, and makes it look less like it comes out in pulses) Can't wait for more updates on this
  • Would it be too complicated to make it so that every crank makes the bed flap/lift up to nudge sand back? Helps keep it from piling and helps feed the bottom. I guess just some extra gears along the sides or something

will the sand not just disintegrate the print over time?
