Johnny hyping Kenshi as Earthrealm's best swordsman to Sindel is hilarious and wholesome. Their bond might be my favorite in this new timeline.

A timeline where Mileena is a sweetheart still seems like a fever dream, but it's a welcome one.

I still think that the rewriting of these characters is super good for the most part. I also love that characters like Rain, Reptile, Baraka, and Reiko have actual personality now and aren't just mindless goons to be sent and get defeated.

Seeing Geras having free will in some form is such a massive improvement from MK11, especially with Liu Kang seeing him as a friend rather than a tool. He was a character I just sort of forgot about, to a fleshed out character. MK1 did him, and many other characters, so much justice

I love how Kung Lao turns down Cage's offer to be a star not because he doesn't want it, but because he's true to the Shaolin's principles.

The sheer eye roll Kung Lao gives on hearing Raiden's sister is upset on him not writing. I just love how expressive the intros have gotten. Though, I feel like introducing her to Johnny may wind up with Raiden kicking his ass 😅
