Ever since the Russia Ukraine war started, I've discussed the topic of the so-called 'good Russians'. I left Russia 2 years ago, and since then I've made a lot of videos discussing Russian propaganda and voicing my opinions. However, many people still have distrust for Russians, especially on the beautiful website of Twitter, now known as X. Recently I went a little viral on Twitter, where a tweet from my biggest hater started a massive conversation about visas for Russians and Russians living in EU. So, why does a lot of pro-Ukraine Twitter hate me, even though I don't support Russia? Let's talk about why this happens and why I've come to accept it.

some last minute thoughts: I didn't point out England's colonialism as a serious jab at Brits or anything. But all the Brits I ever met always jokingly hate on the UK. England has reached its 'end of history' in a sense by being a developed first world nation, and I definitely do think that Brits and many other Western Europeans feel like they're losing their identity. Often these Westerners who ended up living in Ukraine or Russia become more 'ultra-patriotic' than the local people themselves. Also, sometimes I find it funny when Westerners from major ex-colonial countries talk about Russians being nothing but warmongers and their history being full of colonisation and blood. AND IT IS! That's true for both Russia and the UK - so why act like you're morally superior by belonging to the British nation instead of the Russian nation? Man, don't take the twitter serious, this people literally cannot be satisfied with anything.

This Londoner probably didn't even know Ukraine existed prior to the invasion. Exploiting people's suffering just to boost your own reputation online is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful.

I’m a Brit, and I’m sorry you have to deal with the nonsense spouted by that guy. Most Brits aren’t like him. Keep up the great work Roman! Love you bro
  • This is exactly why collective punishment is banned by the Geneva Convention.

"You can hate me all you want, but that will not remove my support for you." I don't know why but that resonated with me... it's such a powerful statement. I'm glad there's people like you with the inner strength to stand up for their values like that. You show us Europeans that we shouldn't give up on the Russian people. You give a voice to those who disagree but can not speak - silent minority, or majority, who is to say in a regime like that... I hope one day we can all realize that the Russian government simply doesn't give a damn about human life: Ukrainian, Russian or otherwise. Maybe then we'll have a chance to take it down as our common enemy.

As a fellow British guy I can only say that I've been a longtime NFKRZ fan (since before you moved out of Russia) and I've loved the content throughout! I can only apologise on behalf of certain British muppets that live amongst us, every country has them!

Leaving twitter was the best decision of my life

As an American, I certainly don't want to be judged for all the things my country has done.

"Ukranians have the right to hate on Russians." Once upon a time. I, an American, was at a party in Kazan, and an Afghan dude refused to talk to me. I thought, "well,... that's fair enough."

"You can throw stones at me and I will still support you" is a quote that goes kinda hard tbh
  • Last "people", what we all should listen, is "people" from Twitter. Hello from Ukraine, by the way.

Roman, I’m Ukrainian living in NY. You and I, we’re good. Keep doing what you do.

These people feel so righteous they ironically end up becoming what they hate so much.
  • @BTFranklin
It's so depressing to me how many people cannot understand any kind of nuance in life.
  • @WalnutWarrior7
These people have not seen your videos. I guarantee, they just saw your thumbnail and assumed everything. I’m sorry you have to deal with this bs, man. Remember, we’ve always got your back, brother. ❤🤜🤛
