Mafia II had a big fanbase, so when the devs chose Vito as an option, they pretty much signed Burke's and Cassandra's death warrants

"Make the right choice here and I'll whip up some fresh bucatini for ya" "CALLING THIS ONE FOR SCALETTA"
  • Vito Scaletta: I’m going to make an offer you can’t refuse. Vito Scaletta: Pulls bowl of Bucatini from suit case.

One thing that this game taught me. If you want someone to give you power, just whip them up some fresh bucatini.
  • vito running the city is the best option in the game. Cassandra LITTERALY fucks everything up and kills the entire city and Burke gets drunk and dies. vito is the only one who deserves to be boss
  • Burke: [Acts aggressive] Lincoln: You wanna die Irish? Cassandra: [Acts Aggressive] Lincoln: You best watch yourself, or else the swamp will eat you up Vito: [Acts aggressive] Lincoln: I’m sorry please don’t take the fresh bucatini!

Reasons why you choose Vito: 1.- was the main character in Mafia 2 2.- he's the right choice 3.- Bucatini
  • "And Vito? He still lives in that penthouse at the top of Marcano's casino, looking out over the city he owns" ~ The Ending we might not need, but the ending to the Scaletta story that we deserve.
  • if you ever played Mafia II...Your smiling in the inside seeing Vito come out on Top...

Idk why the bosses even try to threaten Lincoln, he’s literally in the process of dismantling an entire mob yet they still think they can kill him.

Whoever chose to rule alone and kill Vito deserves a terrible ending 😂

"Crazy black man kills 2 people for fresh bucatini"
  • @KuruuuKito
Cassandra should've whipped up some fresh bucatini if she really wanted that turf.

Having played Mafia II and Mafia III, the ending where Vito runs the city and Lincoln becomes a drifter makes the most sense to me, and it really seems like the only "good ending". None of the other endings really fit Lincoln's personality. He never cared about wealth and power, and he was loyal to those who helped him. The fact that Vito is the only one who doesn't become a tyrant just proves he's the best choice.
  • Vito will always be my favorite Mafia protagonist. He's the most fleshed-out too because unlike Tommy or Lincoln, we actually get to see him grow up. We saw him as a little kid coming to America, going through WWII as an 18 year-old, going to prison, then going through the series of events that led to his exile to New Bordeaux. We literally grew up with him, and this is why this ending is special.

I'd pick Vito anytime because of his style, accent, and, of course, fresh bucatini
  • When Vito has a child: Son:Dad how did you become successful? Vito:One word son.....Bucatini
  • Burke's death is actually heartbreaking he only wanted to help his daughter

The voice acting of Burke in his death scene is amazing.
