Toy Story is where it all began for Pixar animation studios. As the first ever totally CGI feature length movie, you’d think there wouldn’t be many secrets to uncover or references to make, but there are enough goodies here to fill up Andy’s toy chest. Let’s blast off. To infinity and beyond!

  • at 2:15, when Buzz is aiming his laser at Woody, he's not actually pressing the button XD
  • Good Video, but R. Lee Ermey was in the Marines, and in Full Metal Jacket it was the Marine Corp not the Army.

00:08:46 When he says "Dot and Dash", This is a reference to the PBS Kids mascot, Dash and Dot.
  • I also noticed sarge is staring through binoculars that are completely solid
  • “Toy Story is where it all began for Pixar Animation studios” The Adventures of André and Wally B: “Am I a joke to you?”
  • Let's also not forget that R. Lee Ermey was in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. R.I.P., Ronald! (bows head)
  • Why is no one pointing out the fact that the "Megadork" poster at 3:05 is a reference to "Megadeath" and the caricature is of Ozzy Osbourne? (even though he wasn't in that band)
  • The army guys aren’t in Toy Story 4 because R. Lee Ermey died before the movie was made
  • @Dinglehopper.
Yes, I think I did catch the fact that Andy’s toys come to life when people aren’t around.

10:19 reminds me of HIMYM though I saw that one coming when I saw the episode but in 1995 I was only 8 lol but it is nice to see these easter eggs as an adult who thinks its cool now lol

Random Note: the shots were toy mode Woody has his mouth open is the famous "Default Face Woody", its basically the mouth shape the model was originally made in, probably to model the mouth a little easier. Thats my Ted talk.
  • 9:21 Whoa. If Babyface was saying Redrum, then he was probably telling Woody that Sid was going back to his room and take to his yard another one of his toys and torture them like Buzz, similar to how Danny Torrance said the word repetitive times to warn Wendy that Jack was going to kill them in The Shining.

Another explanation for Woody's possible knowledge of Morse Code is his cowboy persona. Morse Code was first used in 1844 and soon became the premier mode of communication for railroads in the United States. Woody is a cowboy toy modelled on 1950s Western programming, as is his TV show, and as Morse Code was very much in use in the setting of these shows (1865-1890, roughly) he might have had an innate knowledge of it.
