We all have that one thing that takes away the harsh reality, escaping to a place of happiness with no worries.  Great movie that a lot of people can relate too.

This is one of the most satisfying scenes I've ever seen in a movie.

They picked the right time of day to capture Randall's mood
  • Saw this movie being stationed in Germany in 07 after a year deployment in Kuwait / Iraq. This scene almost brought me to tears to see that is Speed Zone in Rowland Heights, CA and I live down one exit west on the 60 fwy near this place. Felt so good to see something of home after being so far away. I came home for good Jun of 07 and always think of this movie and what it did for me when I drive by. Cheers 🥂

This scene reminds me of my childhood friends. We met up for old time sake and went to the pier where we use to drive go karts when we were kids. We had to deal with stressful grownup realities like paying a shit ton of bills, taking care of kids, and working hard and make ends meet. That time on the go kart track gave me the fondest memories of a stress free childhood when life was a bliss. Great scene!!
  • i hit right in th middle of the clerks trilogy 2nd is my personal favourite for moments like this

Rowland Heights!!! 🙌🙌 It use to be the Grand Prix and Showboat. Grand Prix was the go karts and the Showboat was miniature golf and video games! Lived there in the 80's then they made it one big go kart place. Love California!!!

no dude. this was filmed in rowland heights in california. in the back you can see the 60 freeway. plus it was closed a couple a days for filming

That track had corn starch on it. I doubt that go-kart tracks do this anymore but if you’ve ever had an opportunity to drive on a track that did, what a memorable blast it was. That track I did it on closed in the mid-90s but I remember it to this day.
