With the recent release of the documentary "Quiet on Set" revealing a lot of the messed up stuff going on in the world of Children's Entertainment, highlight Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon as a whole, I wanted to take some time to talk about the sad reality that is Nick's current state.

I feel so dirty watching Nickelodeon. The way they treat their properties and actors, hiring creeps and knowingly letting them hurt people, it's awful
  • @trinaq
It's so messed up that Dan Schneider was able to get away with so much abuse for so long. Drake Bell and so many others were brave to speak out about the harassment and abuse that they'd experienced while on the set.

“The world could’ve survived without the Amanda show if it meant these kids didn’t have to be emotionally abused on set.” That is the perfect take. No project that makes any amount of money should come at the expense of decency. The crew members AND parents need to seriously be looked at.

Yea....seeing all the reactions all over the internet is like....kinda insane considering I thought we all knew about his allegations?

It's crazy that it's been many years now and that the topics of Dan Schneider of being a creep are brought up again, I'm surprised Dan Schneider lasted so long against the allegations.

14:55 "and cartoon Network is a story for another day" Honestly I'm really interested to see a video on that story

Me as a kid: Finally, shows that treat children like adults! Me as an adult: Oh god, he treated those children like adults!

wishing healing for drake, alexa, jennette, all the kids on these shows including the kids who probably got hurt and didn’t even make it in the industry. the fact that they essentially gave up their own childhood for ours at the cost of their protection, self esteem and mental health makes me incredibly devastated. i REALLY hope this finally makes some change

“what makes you think you can be dirty dan?” “I’m dirty” That one liner makes more sense now.

I’ll always be pissed about Nick cancelling Rise of the TMNT. That show NEVER got the fair shot it deserved with its nonexistent marketing, and the animation community did it no favors.

To make matters even worse, there’s an actress named Amber Frank who played in the sitcom “The Haunted Hathaways” who’s gone out and said that during her time at Nickelodeon, they would bring out these computers for production and in those computers, there was literally “cp” in those computers.

I love how Mark always refers The Loud House as “The Lincoln Loud Show”.
  • It's depressing that Nickelodeon knew about this for years and only throw him under when those accusations started gaining traction. They only stepped in when they could benefit from it.
  • I watched the documentary, I really like the ending where Drake Bell and his father are walking off set: Drake's Dad: "Better days are ahead of us" Drake: "I hear that alot" Drake's Dad: "Keep listening to it"

If anything’s to go by QuietOnSet then Nickelodeon’s either losing a lot of money or just going to quit live-action all together. I doubt they’ll shut down because that’s pretty unfair to the animation department who had nothing to do with Danny-boy’s scandals.

Both millennials and gen z seeing their childhoods collapse and having collective grief over it has been interesting to say the least

Don't diss Boomerang, their old bumpers were bangers
