February Wrap Up / reading and watching update!

Wow you read some great books this month! Loved rereading A Simple Plan with you. Wonder is such a lovely book 😊

Awesome February Wrap-Up! Thank you for being such an amazing guest! I am actually a bit nervous to read The Girl Next Door. I need to read more Poppy Z Brite. Keep on reading The Books Of Blood, you might just find a few more best short stories you ever read. Pig Blood Blues is definitely in my top ten though. 😀 I'm definitely not with Middle-Grade and Smut yet, but that's ok!

Fab wrap-up Crystal! Some great horror there - yeah, The Girl Next Door is a really difficult read, but very well written. Books of Blood Vol 1 - I've not read that in many, many years but I remember it being brilliant. I need to go back and reread it soon! I'll have to give the Scott Smith a go, sounds really good - please tell me that the characters aren't as irritating as those in The Ruins though! 😂 Edward Scissorhands will never not be brilliant - not quite my favourite Tim Burton (that goes to Beetlejuice), but damn close. Such a beautifully told story.

Books of Blood is so good!! I still need to read 3-6 🫣😂 but I felt the same when I started reading them " how have I not read these before?!' Awesome wrap-up!

Love seeing your videos as always! I have been in such a reading slump, so this really inspired me to finally pick up Books of Blood Vol 1. Feeling excited to start it! You know I am all here for the K-pop/K-drama talk (BL Lover for Lifeeeee). I loved Love For Love’s Sake so much. I think it will be on the list when I compile my best watches for 2024…along with Moonlight Chicken. Oh man, remember when we had 2 episodes of DFF left? 😂😢 TEN!!!!! Villains Unite! Great video. You had a great month- 5 stars, favorite short story ever!! I’m glad you liked Wonder. I thought it was really good but I wasn’t a fan of the ending. I felt it was too unrealistic. But the kids absolutely loved this book and it prompted a slew of books about children with differences or disabilities in children’s publishing. I hope you’re having a good March so far! Take care!

I've watched the movie The Girl Next Door but haven't read the book yet. The movie was definitely a difficult watch. I have Books of Blood in my TBR cart. I need to get to it soon. Great wrap-up!

Sweet Vengeance by Viano Oniomoh and The Secret Lives of Church Ladies by Deesha Philyaw were some of my favorite reads this month💜 So exciting you secured p1h tickets they always put on a great show and obsessed with the new comeback. I still need to listen to ten’s album but love his singles💚

Great video! My favs for February were books 2, 3, and 4 of the Stillhouse Lake series by Rachel Caine (omigosh SO good) and volume 1 of the manga series The Yakuza's Bias!! That manga was so much fun!! I also did a little dance when you mentioned P1Harmony tickets. Haha!

Great wrap-up! I'm moving A Simple Plan and Wormwood up on my tbr. Glad to hear you enjoyed them so much. I also still need to read Books of Blood. You watched a lot of cool stuff as well. I am currently in the midst of a Twin Peaks rewatch but hope to get back to Homecoming Cha Cha Cha soon.
