Carlos Marcello & The Southern Mafia - Dixie Mafia The Ant Spilotro

Published 2024-06-23
Im excited to announce the upcoming release of a fascinating documentary about the New Orleans mafia and the Texas mafia, focusing on how various crime families clashed over territory and power in the 1970s. This period saw significant activity in Dallas, with notable figures like Joe Bonanno and his son moving into the South. Joe Bonanno's son even owned property in El Paso. Together, they, along with Carlos Marcello, began to amass an impressive portfolio of real estate properties all over Dallas, Texas, and other parts of the South.

The documentary delves into Carlos Marcello’s influence in Dallas, his history, and the histories of other mafia bosses. During the mid-70s, Carlos Marcello was actively searching for a replacement to oversee Dallas and report directly to him—a challenging task as Texas was becoming the home of the Dixie Mafia and other organized crime groups.

Additionally, the documentary will feature a pivotal article by Jack Anderson, a journalist with connections to Johnny Roselli, the Kennedy family, and various other journalists across America. Anderson was instrumental in exposing the CIA's collaboration with the mafia, often using information provided by Roselli. He firmly believed that Carlos Marcello ordered the assassination of John F. Kennedy. When Marcello was eventually imprisoned, Anderson wrote a detailed article about Marcello’s power, influence, and capabilities. He also explored other mafia families operating in areas like California and Iran.

To provide a comprehensive understanding my channel has started with the history of the New York mafia, from Charlie Luciano to Carlo Gambino, the final boss. It will then cover the Chicago mafia, highlighting figures like Tony Accardo and Sam Giancana. Finally, it will shift focus to the South, ruled by Carlos Marcello and Santo Trafficante. There will be a detailed examination of Trafficante's connections and Marcello’s enormous portfolio of real estate and illegal enterprises.

These documentaries aim to offer an in-depth understanding of how these mafia families differed from one another, with some being far more powerful than others. Along the way, it will include detailed articles and historical insights about other mafia families that operated in America.
