Jeremy and my son Holden, and me hit the back woods to hit a deep woods trout lake, cook some delicious foods over the fire like cavemen, and camp out overnight.

Jeremy's idea about using a princess auto gift card to buy each other gear to survive for a night would be an awesome video

Couldn't help but get a lump in my throat watching this and I'll tell you why. When I first started watching this channel it struck a chord with me instantly. The narration on the first ever wilderness survival challenge was extremely thought provoking. Covering ideas of what wealth meant and being able to offset starvation, the skill set of a man and his ability to thrive or survive were really well documented through the adventures of you and Jeremy. To watch Jeremy paddle across that mirror surface was very poignant. Compared to the days of you sucking the brains out of a pike head you guys have come a long way. To see young Holden getting involved is awesome. You've been an advocate of many ideas that I value and helped inspire my own adventures with my family so thanks for that. Full stop!
  • The shots you got of Jeremy in the canoe with the evening sun were great

I'm from Indonesia.. I've been following your videos from 5-6 years ago.. I watch because I like your serenity and especially the wild nature of your country..
  • I said it last video as well, but you and Jeremy are a hell of a team. Good to see your son getting involved and making an immediate impact with the channel. Nice to see a dad teaching his son and letting him make his own mistakes along the way. Good stuff all around. Full stop.

This is what a lot of kids are missing in life. Real life adventures & learning lessons with one or both parents. Before I took my FF class I was like yeah fireman just put out fires. BUT in order to best fight fires you have to understand them, the sources, what’s needed, how they react. Smaller sticks have less circumference than larger pieces. Birch bark, pine cones, pine needles & dry leaves are a good base. 4 things are needed for fire Holden. Fuel, heat, oxygen & a chemical reaction. As long as you understand that it is even possible to start a fire with set wood. It just takes a lot more preparation. Loved the challenges. Makes it fun & who doesn’t love a little competitive challenge.
  • That was fun! Sans the fishing part..😂😅 We long line for sharks off the beach here in Florida like that, but this is a first for me trying to catch trout. Learn everyday. 😅 Love the drone footage of Jeremy on the lake, good stuff! Love what you're doing my Canadian friends ❤️

Those already prepared rice packs. Normally you squish them to break up the rice, and microwave for 90 secconds. At camp you squish em around to break up the rice. Open the corner a bit, like half an inch or so, and then put the package in the boiling water about half 3/4 submerged for a few min till it's heated through and serve. They're super handy to bring camping for sure.
  • Watched Holden’s “abandonment” vision quest last night.👍 Now I’ll enjoy this father son trip next. Can’t wait guys. ✌️new name for Holden…Minnow 🤭 He can work his way up to Lunker😁
