Just as Patsy her voice is pretty enough to make you cry, The Cello break is awesome.

Chills! What a voice! This lady is the greatest songstress of her time. When a singer can do anything from Charlie Poole to Edith Piaf via Elizabeth Cotton and Patsy Cline, and Tom Petty, she has no equal!

Somewhere Patsy Cline is swelling with pride. What a beautiful rendition!!
  • Stunningly beautiful ❤️ Patsy would love. Rhiannon grasped the essence and delivered the pure authentic power. Malcolm's cello solo was so great to hear it really got me ... the surprise choice of cello for the break was so perfect and beautifully executed. Great appreciation to all, indeed I regard this song as highly as Ms Rhiannon does 🌹. Cheers 🥂

One of the songs you can listen with no end. You can listen Rhiannon Giddens with no end. Natural, warm, beautiful, talented woman. In fact, when Rhiannon sings, we fly high.
  • with a main musical diet of old country music I must say this lady would make patsy cline smile. this is powerful vocals, and that cello is one step short of heaven!

One of the best singers today. What a talent.

Patsy would be proud. Rhiannon is fantastic - soulful and real.

WOW, I am Loving Everything Rhiannon does, I Love this Band and the fact that it is a group of mixed races. I wasn't even aware of Rhiannon Gibbons until I watched the Ken Burns Special ob country music. I also saw her perform on a Country Music Speacial that she opened (sorry my memory is good, just short). I kept looking for her all through that Ken Burns special, wondering, "Where is She"? I love the various styles & blending of music she does. This from a Big Reggae Fan that had gotten back into country music after my father passed. My Dad was a big fan of all the classics from Hank to Cash to Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard (who my dad stole some chickens with when he was in a teenager living in Bakersfield Ca.) I rebelled agaisnt that music back then preferring Hendrix, Cream & The Beatles, Dylan, Donovan etc.later Bob Marley & Reggae was my big thing. Now I am Super excited about what Rhiannon & others in Country,Folk & Bluegrass are playing. I really Love Your Music, Vocals, your Banjo & Fiddle playing and the Musicians you play with. I Love seeing a Cello player, playing a Pasty song and he has Dreads, the guitar player too. Awesome!!!

I really love this cover because it just perfectly walks that line of being true to the original and adding something new. Beautiful!
  • In a league of her own ,past ,present and future. What a range !!!! What a repertoire !!!!!

What a voice! Just discovered her on Ken Burn’s documentary of country music. Now a fan. 🇨🇦

The country mixed with a little soul and gospel influence. Very good job.

I had the great fortune to see Rhiannon live at Jazz at the Lincoln Centre - Ken Burns hosting Country Music and SHE was a revelation. I wish her version of Ray Charles’ Can’t Stop Loving You was posted. She brought the house down.
