Matt sits down with Robb to chat about what “throwing a batch” is, if fatherhood affects his music, the insane amount of hate Trivium used to get, his love of black metal, whether we should film an episode of drunk yoga, and his career-long backing of the LBGTQ+ community.

Watching Rob jam out to Trivium warms the fuck out of my heart. I feel like I found someone that loves Trivium in the same way I do.

Anyone else feel like they are having a singalong with Robb while he plays his fav Triv songs? 😂😍🤘🖤

This was a great podcast. It would be awesome if you guys did another one down the road. Really good chemistry 🧪

Matt Heafy is such a great, humble dude. Every time I think I couldn't be more impressed, he does something like this that makes more proud of him. This was a fantastic interview, Robb. I'll have to hear your new stuff. I must confess that I'm honestly still obsessed with Unto the Locust so I have some catching up to do... 😅 I LOVE that record.

This is shaping up to be one of my favorite podcast series.

I don’t like Trivium’s music but I’m envious of Matt’s work ethic and general persona, he’s a great role model for young musicians.

Working from home and listening to this made 2 hours fly by from my two fav bands! also love the way Robb goes through his favorite songs of the guest first before introducing them into the podcast.

Matt and Robb got more respect from me after the social issues discussion. Great human beings.

A small thing but I really appreciate how you took your time and went through Trivium's discography at the start just jamming out to your favourite songs. Same as we all do!

So much respect for Matt. I found Trivium after hearing Strife off of the Vengeance album. I've owned every record of theirs from that point forward. The Sin & the Sentence in particular is, in my opinion, a true masterpiece. But I confess I've never gone back & listened to a lot of their older stuff, aside from In Waves & Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr. I didn't realize they had so many sociopolitical songs even in their very early days. Great chat, guys.

Ah man I’m looking forward to listening to this! 2 GOATS 🐐

This was honestly such a sensational podcast. Listening to the 2 of you talk about varying topics, deep diving into the music side of your lives, the fatherhood, friendships as well as the chaos going on in the world right now was so awesome. And I very much look forward to the Black Crusade 2 Tour ;)

I saw Trivium last year in London and then again 6 months later in Cambridge... amazing band professionally they pride themselves on they're performance. This was an awesome chat, two of the albums that got me into metal where the blackening and shogun... 🤘
  • @BobbyWatts
Awesome interview, thanks for sharing! Love hearing how Robb and MH had their backs in '05 when they were catching shit from everyone.

You can just tell how much Robb loves hip hop by the lingo he is using to describe these songs.
  • @kaiegan8654
fuck yeah boys had a great time listening to you both!
  • Awesome podcast. I'm not the biggest Trivium fan but they are cool dudes and fantastic musicians. Great stuff!
