This was my brother's absolute favorite song, walked around singing it all the time and asked literally EVERYONE if they had ever heard it and if not he played it for them. He's been gone 12 years now but this is like I'm right there with him again. Thank you to all of you for feeling it and bringing him back to me for ever just a moment. METAL WILL NEVER DIE!!!!

I remember late 90’s I was blasting this song (as I still do to this day) and, a black guy pulled up next to me at a light. I couldn’t hear him obviously so, he tossed something across the hood of my truck to get my attention. I turned it down and, thought he was gonna ask for directions but no: he said: “who is that and, song title”? I told him Pantera “Walk”. I know he started his Metal journey that day. Wherever you are dude, love for you and 🤘🏻.

Who could have known that one of the greatest riffs in metal would be done by just bending the E string on the 1st fret! Dimebag was a genius!

The song is about Pantera being treated differently from some of their friends, that believed their success went to their head, this was Enselmo's way of telling them "No, we didn't change, y'all changed" and my fav..."if y'all don't like us anymore, (walk on home boy) take your shit somewhere else". Enselmo's actual quote from a concert here in Houston Tx.

I'm so jealous of them! Nothing like receiving that first punch to your face from these great album. It's hard to explain the feeling , just watch them faces. I was 15 when I first heard this song , it became my cardinal rule, which I still follow 30 years later. Be yourself mf's! And keep that bs away from me

“Calm anger” is a good way to put it. I think the music reflects the lyrical theme PERFECTLY, in that it’s a lot of anger and power but contained and moving

I'm 58, literally between Cowboys from hell to Reinvententing the steel I pretty much disregarded all other metal ,I was just completely obsessed with Dime's playing, Vinny's playing, as they said it was " groove metal" no one before or since. Saw them twice in the '90's, they were insane the amount of energy. Rip Dime Rip Vince
