SEC NOT Interested In Florida State And Clemson | Sponsor Patches Coming To CFB? | Keeping TV Secret

Are the SEC playing a risky game by reportedly passing on Florida State and Clemson? Brett McMurphy from Action Network said this week that he expects FSU and Clemson to eventually land in the Big Ten. He added that the SEC is not interested because they already have the Florida market with the Gators and the South Carolina market with the Gamecocks. But is it a smart move to allow the Big Ten and FOX to swoop in and grab two of the most prominent programs in the Southeast?

Big changes are coming to college football as programs will need to generate more revenue in order to manage about $30 million per season in expenses for the House vs NCAA settlement. The NCAA will meet next week to discuss the option of adding corporate sponsor logos to football fields and maybe even sponsor patches onto jerseys. Hosts Alex Donno and Kenton Gibbs discuss why many college football fans will be turned off by this idea, but it’s a relatively benign change that could generate millions in revenue.

Donno and Gibbs discuss why the Big Ten, SEC, and Big 12 are supporting the ACC in their quest to keep the ESPN television contract private due to trade secrets. Will this hurt FSU’s case against the ACC?

I don’t understand why we listen to what a Miami fan and a NC state alumni has to say about what’s goin on with FSU and Clemson 🤷🏻‍♂️
  • @acorrea9538
NC State guy is so pissed that FSU and Clemson will be playing with the haves and his school will be left behind with the have-nots.
  • @fface5727
This channel gets the most clicks when FSU is in the thumbnail.... Shocker
  • @TallyHo850
This show is trash and have no clue Keaton you are hoping an coming up with all these different ideas that will never happen why are you so upset about team wanting to get out a bad situation you might find a job somewhere else try to get hired by locked on Nc State
  • @stevenstone4330
Did you stop to think that maybe FSU and Clemson do not want anything to do with ESPN anymore.
  • @langstondah7350
    We dont want the SEC either!!!!! 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 GO NOLES!!! FBA/B1
  • @brett8078
Theres NO WAY FSU is suing the acc without an under the table handshake to go to the big ten. FSUs AD Michael Alford has old connections to the big ten. And has been to Chicago Big ten hq numerous visits
  • Good! F*ck the SEC and while I'm at it screw ESPN as well. Not sure about Clemson but as a Florida State Fan, I want NOTHING to do with any network or conference related to ESPN, ABC, Disney.
  • @vistatiger7493
The ironic thing is Clemson is in the Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville NC TV market which is the 37th largest in the US while Columbia SC is only the 77th largest.

It's ridiculous to think that FSU and Clemson wouldn't be getting full shares when they go to the B1G. Not only will they receive a full share, the media contract will only go up after they join
  • @jcfilms4433
Zero chance ESPN wants to lose FSU and Clemson to the B1G
  • @elvangulley3210
And saban said he wasnt going to be the coach at bama. The sec isnt going to come out and say we want x school. or we are taking x school. they move in silence. Even the big 10 denied wanting Washington and Oregon until they finally added them.
  • @jaysmith7725
Because Florida State kicks that ass, that’s why I wanna go to the big 10 make that money we get that kind of contract. We’re unstoppable.
  • @gregoryware4786
SEC and Big 10 are playing Chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
  • @sochowell3469
These guys have never heard of the "Art of the Deal"? Beyond that, the SEC and the B1G cannot openly discuss or negotiate with any current ACC schools.
  • @cooperdeshawn
SEC because of its partnership with ESPN cannot say that they are actively pursuing FSU and Clemson. ESPN would look like a bad partner to the ACC in which they are currently in business with.
  • @jamesward2042
Everything is so up in the air right now nobody knows anything. Everybody’s just talking talk so they can do their podcast and their post, etc.. I appreciate you trying your best to hide your Miami and your Wolfpack allegiance. I think that the wannabes in the ACC conference hope like hell that Florida State and Clemson fall on their faces, but that’s not gonna happen and we all know it.
  • @cooperdeshawn
B1G is the best option for both FSU and Clemson. They currently have the best tv deal that is only going to grow as they build their coast to coast league/network.
  • Let me help you understand. The SEC already owns North Florida with UF. Clemson is not going to give them that much more than what they already have with South Carolina. However… Virginia puts them in the Washington DC market, and North Carolina gives them Charlotte. That’s too huge metropolitan TV markets they don’t currently have. What happens on the field doesn’t matter anymore, it’s all about TV ratings and the size of the next contract. Like it or not that’s where we are.
  • @rlhaff3560
Hahaha the SEC would make a HUGE mistake letting the state of Florida go to the BIG10… and do you think they wouldn’t have an alternative after spending all this money to get out??? The SEC knows they are gone, better to act like they didn’t want them to save face.
