I wish you well in your pursuit. I purchased my first Rolex (Explorer 2) from Paul Pluta -delivered to USA from Australia. Wait lists suck but part of the territory for those who aren't heavy hitters. Best to you.

Since you asked- I bought my first Rolex from the local AD. It was a steel Sub/Date. I walked in and they had every variation of every model available in the case for immediate delivery. I selected the Submariner and the manager went to the back and got one from stock as it had not been touched since it left the factory like the ones in the case. I paid retail for it $3350.00 plus tax. And YES, this was in 1998....they were better times.

A great informative video pal! I'm the same as you to be fair went to 3 dealers only last week only one out my name down the other 2 said the list was all day closed? What I dont understand Rashid is how are these 2020 new Rolex models already getting on the grey market so soon as obviously ADs ARE getting them in stock and the buyers are Flipping them as well! Keep up the good work and stay safe!!
  • I purchased the Green OP41 a few days after release from an AD. It is amazing! Good luck in your search

The Rolex boutique came up with my op41 in two weeks it was a pleasant surprise .

At the beginning of your video i missed the part where you said you were looking for an Oyster Perpetual, just heard green and i assumed you were looking to buy a Sub 41 with green bezel, only by the end of the video shockingly understood that you were actually talking about purchasing an OP 41 with green dial. This freaking unbelievable that they cant keep a symple OP at boutiques in London. I had to get 2 Rolex together for one of them to be a Skydweller and from a boutique who also deal with other watches and they have sold me 4 watches over the last 5 years and sold 2 to my friends to whom i had suggested this ad, in-spite of all that still could not get a Skydweller in steel and white gold (bezel) with the blue dial, they gave me the 2 tone (steel and yellow gold) with a white dial instead which was my second choice. I dont know who exactly are these so called good friends to an AD or Boutique! If its true that Rolex is mass produced and AD will have the stock there are not enough people who spend millions with every single AD in the world to get priority. I can only rationally think that the demand is high and supply is not there. If you google about Rolex's output per year it says 800 thousand to a million watches per year (including all their models), i can say with some reasonable amount of certainty that there more than a million people in this world with money and the desire to get a Rolex, no other explanation makes sense to me, also remember these 1 million also includes the tons that go into grey market one way or the other. The situation is the same for 2 other brands as well since there not that many people in this world with money and the desire to buy those 2 brands and the fact that those 2 are truly limited in production involving intricate hand made parts, the insane demand and the even more insane grey market prices are not talked about as much as Rolex. I am talking about Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe. Celebrities who own watches worth millions have waited for over 2 years for a Patek Phillippe Nautilus. With Rolex its just that there are people of all income groups who want it which is why i think there is a demand, it could not be the thruth, as no one knows the reality just talking from experience and all the inputs i have collected. From what i could gather even in this pandemic and the economic downturn only 3 watches have been doing well in terms of sales and grey market / used marker prices they are Rolex AP and Patek. That just goes to show that these will always be in demand regardless of what happens. Fortunately or unfortunately you can pickup most other icinoc watches including Vachorn and Jaeger for a super bargain now. So consider that too.

I entered the wait list here at Rolex San Francisco. I hope I'll one day receive a call. Best of luck to you!
  • Why do rolex hire so many arrogant people at showrooms. They have waiting lists on all good watches for next 5 years. They don't need people at shops when there are no watches.
  • @mkyhou1160
An OP shouldn’t be a difficult watch to get, it’s not a steel sports. Maybe a bit of delay as new, but you should get. I have managed so far to get an Explorer and an Air King (my favourite), from ADs. The key is to find a place where you like them and they like you. It appears you have done that, it’s half the battle. When I got my air king, I purchased an extra watch for my son (a discontinuing speedmaster). Hopefully that will help on the list for a GMT.

Good luck Rashid! You're a nice man. I hope the universe is kind to you. PS: my dream watch is also the OP GREEN 41mm. I haven't even tried here in Australia. The process is rigged.😪
  • @achalgajree4532
Hope you were lucky bro, I'm on the waiting list too for the yellow dial, been 3 weeks now hope not too long!
  • @Jsmashfq
There has never been a waitlist for the OP's. Just wait a bit, after the New Year this skittles lineup of OP's will be available in mostly all AD's. I could be wrong also! Marketing strategy of Rolex is something that I respect a lot!!
