Here's how my fight goes: immediately have all my buffs dispelled, a thousand traps going off, poison fog, and then the five people you have to fight on top of it all. So difficult for me right now.
  • My tactics for this fight: First, get your characters out of the toxic cloud, the traps out of it do less damage than the cloud itself. Second, simultaneously have your fighters dispatch the golems while your mage and druid summon powerful monsters around Belhifet to keep him occupied while having your archer or thief take shots at him from a distance. Third, after your fighters dispatch the golems, have your mage haste them and attack Belhifet (while evading the center where the toxic cloud is). Your fighters will do the most damage to him while he should still be preoccupied with the summons. This way I had all my characters alive and even many of the summons. Important to note that I was playing the enhanced edition on core rules, I don't know if its any different than the normal mode in the classic. For example, he did not summon two cornugons to help him, I don't know if that's on a higher difficulty or a bug in the EE. Edit: Forgot to mention a very important thing, have your bard sing the War Chant of Sith, this heals all allies and characters nearby by 2 points per round, so they constantly regen health.
  • The artwork and small details here in the floor and surroundings are phenomenal

I remember it took me a whole hour to beat this guy. When I finally did, I somehow managed to do it without any party members dying. One of my greatest gaming achievements haha.

was fun rewatching this battle :) cant even tell how many hours i spend on this boss and yet you make it seem easy :D
  • @Roflcopter147
Man this boss was brutal, but it was so long ago I don't even remember how I beat him (its been like 6 years?). Was so sick of the dialogue from like dozens of retries, yeesh.

    Over? OOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEER????
  • @ExClUr
That's odd.. When I played the game the final boss was only assisted by two iron golems, there were no two other creatures.

Did you know that Belhifet is actually fighting with his fists in this battle? It's a bug. He needs a spell to finish you off, because with his fists he is only able to get you unconscious.

I’m replaying this on iOS and am glad you included that you defeated the expansion before this boss. I’m going to do that myself because those golems are homing Missiles to my mage then cleric. Thanks for being honest. It’s going to be helpful.
  • @RealArtVandelay
wow you can enter the room with all the buffs on ? thats easy mode, in EE he dispels everything right off the bat
  • I lucked out once and won this fight in a minute because my monk's quivering palm worked on this guy.
  • For those who don't know, the stairs that everard walks down from, can be stood upon. Set your group up there with a durable character infront, or, if your lucky, the pathing on the golems/corns bugs up and they get stuck, causing them to try and walk past each other, but the get stuck in the walkway. Then drop some fire resistance buffs and get your archers to shoot at the boss with pierceing arrows. Throw a malice on the boss.

What I don't understand is the fact that they didn't even supe Belhifet up to at least make him a challenge for your group with HOW installed. It was the same for Irenicius in BG II; piss easy with TOB installed. Saervok was the only one I can think off that was actually a challenge with the add on installed as they supposedly made him tougher with tales of the swordcoast. Still at least the add on bosses held up nicely :)
  • Since you were over leveled, use haste, chop down the golems and carnugons then go all in on belhifet. Easy.

Funny thing, circular portal in the middle of a triangle. -"The scope of my desire is far beyond your mortal comprehension. I exist solely for the purpose of corrupting the corruptible. To me this world is nothing but a fertile field, a vast crop of temptable souls." (Then reveals his true demon form.) Intresting that game designers, among others, are allways familiar with and so keen on using these same concepts and patterns over and over again. Funny thing.

@danrevach The game has a multiplayer mode by LAN, so you can play it with hamachi. I played 8 years ago and it 's awesome!
