I had been wondering what to do with my old 2015 MacBook Pro that no longer supported MacOS upgrades. I re-imaged it with Linux Mint and then installed 73 Linux. I plan to use it with my Xiegu X6200.

Man did a fresh Pi install and Vara still didn't work for me after trying it twice. Only thing I can think of is it was 64bit and he said he only tested it with 32bit, would that make a difference? Excellent otherwise and I appreciate all the work he put into it
