I love the “don’t repeat mistakes.” So many (bad) teachers are all, “oh, good job honey…” when it wasn’t in fact good. You need a teacher who is honest and real with you.
  • Let's get Cheryl to 10M, she truly deserves it for the time and effort she puts into her videos she does for us 😊❤🎉

Thank you for these tips! I'm a violinist and a singer and I love how I can apply these tips to both! ♡ One of my tips is don't practice hungry ;)

I love these tips about practicing. I love practicing. When I practice my vocals it gives me joy and makes me happy. I used to record myself when I practice my vocals and sing . I have to get back into recording myself when I practice and sing. I have choir rehearsal tomorrow night. I definitely will be practicing during my break at work tomorrow. Cheryl I love all of your vocal tips you share with us. You are phenomenal vocal coach. 🥰❤️🎤🎵🎼🎶

My favorite practice tip is to loop the hard parts at a slower tempo, refine the detail, then take it back up to original tempo.

Oddly i only sang in chior in church when I was younger, I was coached by my musician husband who was a session player percussionist,I learned little of the drums on 10 concert tom set and then a few years ago i recorded myself to lyric videos of adelle and the eagles to replicate their talents.

I always go into the nasal if I want to go high. So I listen to that and know straight away that I need to open up my airways and use my stomach for air. I sometimes pinch my nose with my fingers to make sure that the sound doesn't change into a nasally one when my pitch gets higher.
