These channels all do this thing where they type out the script in the bio. so i'm gonna do that too.

i’m jarvis and today we're talking about my story animated
which is the latest in clickbait animation channels full of overdramatic and probably fake stories “submitted by kids”
they describe themselves as a digital platform that provides people to share their most interesting and life changing stories with the world.
and if that sounds a lot like ACTUALLY HAPPENED, another youtube channel that's been all over trending lately with exactly the same premise, that's because
it is.
they're completely indistinguishable
that’s part of the problem
and if you account for the fact that actually happened is a knock-off of storybooth, a legitimate channel that actually works with children
that would make my story animated a copy of a copy
and it’s not even a fun copy either like mewtwo or nsync, or like how i'm a copy of every commentary youtuber
it’s a bad copy with absurd clickbait and lazy production quality. which probably isn’t the fault of the people who actually animated the stories, but i’ll get to that later. it’s just clear that this is a clear money grab to me. we’re witnessing the birth of a content farm
they started in 3 months ago after my video on actually happened.. and since then they’ve grown from 0-500k subs with viral hits like
I was obsessed with our neighbors Ferrari so I stole it
I’m too pretty
I’m the richest girl in school and it’s embarassing
i first found out about this channel because of my subreddit after my video on actually happened and if you aren’t familiar with them. all you need to know is that they claim to animate the stories that kids send to them, but it’s more likely that they’re just.. wait for it.. making them up. or OR stealing them directly from reddit
now, i’m not trying to say that copying is inherently bad, like everyone is inspired by something, but my story animated is literally such a copy of actually happened that they even forgot to make their subscribe link on their about page not link to actually happened.
the main difference between the two is that my story animated has someone figured out how to invest even less in production quality which is actually quite impressive.
and unlike actually happened, which is run by our friends at 5-minute crafts,
my story animated is independent and is just run by an italian guy named domino who just loves cartoons and animates each video by hand with tender love and care.

there was a girl in a mental hospital with me that did basically share a “i’m embarrassed bc i’m too rich” story. she talked about how her dad was the founder of a huge streaming site and she was like “i didn’t know on the east coast you’re not supposed to brag about being rich it’s cool to brag on the west coast i didn’t know :’(” and it was very weird to hear in group exposure therapy when everyone else had just shared a genuinely traumatic experience
