James Talarico Delivers Sermon on the Separation of Church & State

As an atheist I would vote for this guy for President.

Imagine a world where all Christians tried to be like Jesus.

Please run for President, you would have my vote in a heart beat... and I'm not even Christian. You truly inspire me as a person.

This sermon is one of the most intellectual and spiritual justification for separations of church and state. I am 72 years old, and I am terrified of what is happening in our country!!

I am an atheist, but I would follow this Christ-like man anywhere.

Man, if this was the message I’d heard growing up with people who authentically and genuinely lived it, I probably would’ve never left the church 30 years ago.

I hope the DNC is looking at this person as a key speaker for the Convention! We all need to hear this!

I’m gonna say it again and repeat for the people in the back. I hope you are given a prime spot to speak at the Democratic convention in Chicago this year. You truly embody the spirits of what it means to walk in the Christian faith according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I think James Talarico will be in the national spotlight soon, and I expect that he will remain there. Certainly he will be viable presidential candidate while he is still young... if we are still a democracy.

Please run for president!! I’ve watched you for a while and I feel you represent true Christian values. You have so precisely and inspirationally articulated that which no other has before — that being truly Christian actually leads us to being more left-leaning. I do love my neighbors, I do love our planet, and that love leads me to support healthcare for all, DACA, gun control laws, be a “tree-hugger”, etc. That love actually came from church, where I listened to sermons every Sunday when I was a little kid. I stopped going to church in my teens but the teachings have made me who I am. I am a progressive democrat because I am actually Christian at my core. Thank you for the amazing sermon. We should all share it so that James Talarico’s words inspire others and will also believe he should be president!
