I think Blizzard needs to go back to the drawing board on these Hero Talents and give them some love.

Trickster, should be hyper focus on killing spree and (for sub) Shadow Technique. Both abilities not only act the same, being a low cd combo point spender that gets lowered during rotation. but killing spree has a teleporting animation and shadow tech has shadow clones. both being super "trickstery"
  • @Drack093
I really really really hope they get rid of the fucking stealth between the eyes gameplay. I don’t play outlaw because I want to play subtlety. I play outlaw because it isn’t subtlety. The gameplay loop around vanish and shadow dance isn’t fun and it doesn’t fit the class fantasy of rogue. The whole point was for outlaw to be a cool agile fighter.

I was really hoping assasin and sub shared a tree that wasthemed around shadow clones. Woulda been cool to see clones poping in out of the air mimicking your attacks. Like, using a spender summons shadow clones to attack enemies with rupture on them.
  • Killing spree should not have a cd it should be the main finisher
  • @anders8461
I hated Roll the Bones and now they add another one lmao

All of this fits "The trickster" theme they are going for, like "Look over there", open up and destroy. I think it fits Sub spec more than Outlaw if that's what they are going for. I understand it doesn't have the flash and eye candy a lot of other Hero Talent trees have going for them, but it's a "trickster", I am thinking someone like Shaco from League or Legends. A lot of movement, vanishes, distracts, mirror images and executes low health targets. People in pvp, who think they are safe and get hit with distract, then panic sets in because they know they pain train is coming. Maybe I am more optimistic than most.

Fatebound should give Dispatch stacking buffs, depending on the amount of matching coins you have: 3+ Dispatch hits all enemies for 50% of damage dealt 4+ Dispatch has a chance (correlating to your SS double strike chance) to strike a second time for 150% damage dealt 5+ Dispatch critical strikes deal cosmic damage 6+ Dispatch flips three additional coins and rolls the Dice for you

Killing Spree used to be so absolutely insane it was awesome. I remember in MoP seeing a super geared rogue in one of my alt's Heroic Dungeon runs literally 100-0ing the boss by just pressing Killing Spree it was crazy. Sad that it is what it is now. The whole Outlaw rework from Combat just always made the class worse to me. I do not vibe with the pirate fantasy at all. Combat was way more rogue-like. Also what the heck is pistol shot? I randomly whip a pistol out? From where? I only have 2 weapons and no ranged slot anymore!!
  • using BTE during a stealth window will also cast a dispatch (if your talented into crack shot), so mean streak still applies
  • @attinger117
Both of these are better than all three hunter trees lol
  • @Daisuke69
oh man. I was leveling a rogue in Panda remix haha. I guess I hope things change before TWW. Did you make a video for holy paladin hero talents yet? I might be blind.
  • @attinger117
Can you do some testing as far as the talents that say on ‘distracted’ targets? I read on the alpha forums that those talents are actually talking about ‘fazed’ targets. Like it’s literally a typo. And that would be a lot better and make more sense.
  • @korealos4081
Please add a class Preversation,Unholy DK,Blood DK and other classes
  • @AllGodsDue
The distract thing is completely wild to me. Here lets take a fluffy, fun utility ability and force an entire class around it, that doesn't sound horrible or anything lol.

"The WORST Hero Talents So Far!?" Aw man, OL was one of my potential mains :( I'm still hoping that bliz forgets about the melee attack range talent on Survival
  • @m_rod9562
Outlaw rogue needs another rework. The whole idea of having to stay in stealth to maintain your buffs is extremely impractical in open world content and keys. Specially with certain affixes and dungeons that require you to mount and/or click something to travel somewhere. It feels terrible.
  • @johannordin6534
It is obvious that blizzard does not know what they want with rogues. In the early days rogues were great. Stealth was an advantage and sap important to cc a mob for a while. A slow gameplay that has gotten discarded when impatient kids have to rush through content. Outlaw rogue could work as a duelist tank. But I guess they want to be "unique". But in that desire, the specialization tries to be a rogue, a monk, a hunter and much more. There are too many abilities and rotations2

overall stealth build for outlaw in pve to me makes 0 sense and pair that with the herotalents it makes it even worse cause they just are pray the lords to rework them otherwise this will be my first year since vanilla that i swap mains cause they just detroyed outlaw herotalent wise i will prob do more dmg without any points used in hero talent :P. and run the M+ build
